Thanks for your response. Yes, this is what I was looking for! I'm able to create a standalone table with just the columns and tables I need. If I can ask a follow up question. My data contain points with Lat/Longs where I tell the standalone table to display XY Data and it creates a feature layer and maps the points. However, if I update or refresh the SQL query, just the standalone table gets updated and not the feature layer. Is there a better way to configure the data so that the SQL instantly updates on the map?

This might be a newb question, since I'm not really a GIS person, but am trying to learn. Using Pro 2.6.0 and am able to connect to my server and database. Goal is to use a custom SQL query (and avoid bringing in a boat load of data to bog it down). Is it possible to use a custom SQL query? How would I do that if possible? I've searched the community, google, and youtube and am not finding a solution. BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc. this functionality is pretty easy, but I'm struggling to figure out how to do with ArcGIS Pro. Thank you in advance! I'm having trouble figuring how to solve this problem. I did a Origin Destination Cost Matrix, but it didn't product the outcome I was looking for. Basically, the goal is to divide 50 points into four groups by choosing the optimal drive time for those 50 locations. Here's a little more detail 50 location points across the eastern half of the U.S. (see screenshot) From Lubbock, TX to Boston, MA to Miami, FL to Ames, IA and 46 points in between This isn't a warehouse to retail location problem where I'm trying to find the optimal location. All of the point combinations in the groups will be driven. For example when the groups are determined, Point 1 will go to Points 2-13, Point 2 will go to Point 1 and 3-13, etc. Group these 50 points into four groups (two groups of 13, two groups 12) based on the least amount of drive time between each other. Doesn't matter which of the 50 points are grouped together, the only goal is to minimize the overall drive time while creating these four groups Using the OD Cost matrix, I'm able to find the 12 or 13 shortest routes from each point, but that's not quite what I'm looking for. Any suggestions, ideas, resources on how to solve this problem or go about it?

Thanks for confirming that Robert. It's a road that will be built in the near future, unfortunately, so I don't think it could be added to the next dataset release.

My org. has streetmap premium and it has a north american routing network, but I'm a little fuzzy on the ability to create a custom road. All I want to do is add a 3/4 mile long road segment and add it to the road network. Do I need a separate product to do this? If so, are there any workarounds?

Looks like my license doesn't currently have the Network Analyst extension, but I will look into trialing it. What other software do you use to compare drive times? Worse, case I could probably do an estimation with the formula since it's only a ~1-mile stretch of county road. Thanks, Mike

This would be for a county road specifically. The application is if a Fire Station is in a certain location, an existing county road would be connected connected (there's currently a 1-mile gap where it's not). So the question is what is the impact on drive time if that county road is connected? I've only used the online tool's Drive Time Analysis feature at this point, so I'm not well versed in the LRS capability... noob level..Data Analyst trying to learn GIS.

No, I'm not using the Roads & Highways extension. The only method I've used is the Drive Time Analysis feature in the online tool. I will explore the Network Analyst extension which my license doesn't currently have, but it looks like I can trial it. Thanks, Mike

Hi GeoNet Community, Bit of a noob to ArcGIS (use the online tool primarily) and the community here, so apologies if the format of this question doesn't meet guidelines. What I'm trying to do is create a drive time layer, with a road that doesn't exist (yet). Is this possible in ArcGIS Online or Desktop? Using that new road along with real roads, create a drive time layer. Are users able to create imaginary streets / roads / highways - to be used in the drive time analysis tool? drive-time esri roads and higwhays
