I would like to upgrade ArcGIS API JS version in one of my project from version 3.17 to latest version 3.28. However, my concern is upgrade from 3.17 to 3.28 might result in some old capabilities could'n't work. Is it safe to upgrade to newer version? Or are there some references to compare between each version? Thanks

Hi there Currently, I'm creating a web application for user and ran into a strange problem. My team published this map services to show the symbol of EVStation. (Url below) https://gisadaptor.mea.or.th/mapstd/rest/services/ev/evRequest_pdt/MapServer/0 ----------- The problem is this map service wasn't load when one of my tester open this website with Chrome browser. However, other tester can open the website and the map service was loaded without any problem. Further, when I tried debugging it and open the console developer of Chrome browser, somehow map service was correctly loaded. But when I closed the console developers, the problem came back and map service wasn't loaded Curiously, this happened with only one tester. Other testers who also used the same version of Chrome browser didn't run into this problem. Is there anyone used to run into this problem can you help me specify what's going on here? Any help will be very appreciated By the way, if you want to try the application. Here's the link https://developers.geotalent.co.th/meaev/Index.aspx#/planning (It is required to login, so here is username and password Username : meastaff2 Password : abc123) Thanks for your help Woramin

Hi I'm currently interested in Progressive Web App concept and I wonder is there any example or idea to implement this concept with web map application? I'm trying to build one but not sure whether how it is possible to cache map tiles into Cache storage with Services workers or any limitation that web map app can't do now If anyone have some idea or example, I will be really appreciated if you can share it with me. Thanks

Hi I have an issue with drawing 400,000 graphics point on map. These data for drawing those points come from query from the database which I can manage now. The problem is after I got around 400K points data in json array format (with lat,lon and around 10-15 attributes). It makes my website crashes due to a massive amount of data which consumes almost 600mb of memory when trying to draw these 400K points at the same time. ----------- I'm looking for some idea to help dealing with this massive amount of data. I'm considering using ClusterLayer but still worried whether loading 400K data into ClusterLayer and really help or not. Or is there any other idea that I can use to manage my 400K point data? Your help or any idea would be very appreciated. Thanks

Sorry for unclear explanation. Actually, I want to find the layer index in case that I don't know or remember how many layer I have added to the map. For example, if there were 5 layers added to the map but I don't know which one is added before or after, I know only that there is one layer has an id "GRAPHIC1", I want to find out that what is the index order for the layer "GRAPHIC1".

Hi, I'm doing R&D about the map application that can rearrange order layer. For example I add 5 layers according to below sample code var baseMap1 = new ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer(urlBasemap1, { id: "BASEMAP1" }); var dynamicMap1 = new ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer(urlDynamicMap1, { id: "DYNAMICMAP1" }); var graphicsLayer1 = new ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer({ id: "GRAPHIC1" }); var dynamicMap2 = new ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer(urlDynamicMap2, { id: "DYNAMICMAP2" }); var featuresLayer1 = new ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer(urlFeaturesLayer1, { id: "FEATURESLAYER1" }); map.addLayer(baseMap1); map.addLayer(dynamicMap1); map.addLayer(graphicsLayer1); map.addLayer(dynamicMap2); map.addLayer(featuresLayer1); But "map" object will keep graphics & features layer ID separately from other layers. Therefore, it keeps each layer id as graphicsLayerIds ("GRAPHIC1,FEATURESLAYER1") and layerIds ("BASEMAP1,DYNAMICMAC1,DYNAMICMAP2") If I would like to get index of layer order as BASEMAP1 --> 0, DYNAMICMAP1 --> 1 , GRAPHIC1 --> 2 , DYNAMICMAP2 --> 3 , FEATURESLAYER1 --> 4, do ArcGIS API Javascript can help me with this or do I have to manually create a config object for these layer order by myself? Thanks

Hi, I'm currently trying to add WMSLayer to my map. I follow this example and it works well. Here is my code var layer = new Layer("http://go-tiles1.gistda.or.th/mapproxy/service", { id : "MY_WMS_LAYER" }); map.addLayer(layer); However, this one requires me to use proxy page. Is there any way that allow me to not use proxy page when creating WMSLayer? I try to add use CORS enabled feature by adding this below code but it is also not working too. esri.config.defaults.io.alwaysUseProxy = false; esri.config.defaults.io.corsEnabledServers.push("go-tiles1.gistda.or.th");

The problem is I cannot access service logs in ArcGIS Server Manager at customer's site. The administrator didn't give me an authorization. By the way, this error often occurs at customer's site only. In my development site, only 1 in 100 times this error would occur, even though I can access service logs at my development site, I really need to hope that somehow this error could occur here too... However this error happened especially when a lot of people try to test my app. So I'm doubting this error might come from when a lot of people are using my app to produce map image.

Greetings I need some help about calling PrintingTools from GeoprocessingServices by using PrintTask Class from ArcGIS API. When I call PrintingTool from using PrintTask by using ArcGIS API javascript, sometimes it comes back with an error. ====================================================== In my website, there is one function that can save the image from current Map Application. Sometimes it needs to produce numbered pin for locating various places. Sometimes, it is around 20-30 pins. It can go up to around 1000 pins in some cases. (Example is the below images). Then I used PrintTask to call PrintingTools to produce the map image. The problem is sometimes, there is an error callback from PrintingTool like the below image. When error is going to happen, it always take a lot of time for PrintTask for calling PrintingTool until it sent back an error. This error also occurs even with the same number of pin on map. For example, if there were 10 pins on map. When calling PrintingTool, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't and also had an error callback. Sometimes even 1000 pins worked while only 5 pin didn't. When I try to check the error, I'm not sure whether it is related to the parameter that are sent to PrintingTool? I saw that sometimes some parameters are lost, like in the below image.There is no parameter "Web_Map_as_JSON" even though the source stated that it also send this parameter on Json Parameters when somehow it didn't work Parameters when it worked Since I always send these parameters (Format, Layout, Map object) to the PrintTask to call PrintingTool. I'm not sure whether there is any external factors rather than my coding that affects the output. I try to google the problems but no lucks, so I decided to post question here. I hope that someone can help me explain the cause or give me some solutions to this problem Thank you.
