Robert, The proxy is not the problem. The requests are just not send to the proxy. addProxyRule is either not working for WMTS or for HTTPS.

Robert, Sadly it didn't work. It worked for hat WMS-Service, but not for an WMTS Service. Is it possible, that there is a problem with WMTS Services in HTTPS?

Is it possible to add custom HTTP headers to every layer request (p.e. WMTSLayer)? I'd like to add the referer header because otherwise the WMTS Service doesn't delivier the image.

Is it possible to send all WMTS requests over the proxy? If esriConfig.defaults.io.alwaysUseProxy and esriConfig.defaults.io.proxyUrl are set, only the first request (GetCapabilities) is going through the proxy.

If someone has the same problem, i found a workaround. The problem was, that with the authentification enabled, the flex API sends the request with POST. It seems that the WMS service can't handle that. So i implemented an HTTP Handler in .NET. In there i send the request with GET and not with POST. Set the proxyUrl property that it calls the HTTP handler and then it works.

Hi I wanna add a WMS Layer which has user/password Authentification. When the flag skipCapabilities is false I get this error message: TypeError: Error #1080: Illegal value for namespace.

When I manually try these requests with the browser, I get an image of the map. Why isn't it shown in the Flex Application? Thanks for your help

If people are wondering. I found a solution: You can use esri.tasks.PrintTask. This class sends the result of the URL of the generated image. Which can be sent to the server: Example: var task = new esri.tasks.PrintTask(printUrl); dojo.connect(task, 'onComplete', function (result) { PageMethods.SendMap(result.url, onSucceeded, onFailed); }); var params = new esri.tasks.PrintParameters(); params.map = map; var template = new esri.tasks.PrintTemplate(); template.exportOptions = { width: 700, height: 500, dpi: 96 }; template.format = "JPG"; template.layout = "MAP_ONLY"; params.template = template; task.execute(params);

Hi there We are trying replace WebADF with the API for Javscript. We have an ASP .NET application. Until now we had a functionality, where the user could export the map to an Image (PNG) or an PDF. I know, that this is possible with the esri.dijit.Print package. But that doesn't work for us. We need the export the map into a bytestream and send it to the ASP .NET server and create a customized image or PDF (multi paged report) there. Is this possible? With Web ADF we used the IMapFunctionality.DrawExtent method.
