Any update to this? Still marked as 'in product plan' and the spatial reference information is missing from exported metadata, so I either get warned by the USGS metadata validation service (mp 2.9.52) for missing spatial reference information. Or I use Save As in ArcPro to an XML, and it throws hundreds of errors when using the validation service because it doesn't save in FGDC format. Marking this problem as solved and that one of the solutions is to use the Save As function in the Catalog view is not really a solution. Format when I Save as vs. when exported as an XML

2018 'til 2024, still is a problem. Tried to batch Match Layer to a Style, it says it runs and only works for one layer.

Appears this idea is under consideration here -https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/quot-save-it-later-quot-without-creating-a-new/idi-p/941742#comments. But, the post is 6 years old so not sure when it would be implemented.

I agree with @NoahWasserman, I have to create and save several arpx files and every time I do it's creates 7 new folders. Is there a guide to which of these ancillary folders can be deleted without breaking your project? I understand that you can save maps within projects as map files (.mapx), but that usually doesn't preserve pathnames to data sources or metadata records, plus forget about your layouts.

Following up on this, my co-worker submitted a bug report and did a support call with Esri staff. They had to completely rebuild the map and project documents. For a while the problem was fixed, but they are now experiencing the same problem where their raster function layers are broken and not visible.

From what I've seen in Illustrator, expanding the text containers manually may work for plain-language text, but expanding the containers on font based symbols will move the symbol for point and line markers. So you lose the location's accuracy for the data point.

Same here, realized that I couldn't see some marker symbols because the fonts are 'too big' to display in the text frame, with no easy solution to correct in Illustrator.

We are having trouble with fonts embedding into .aix files that are exported from ArcPro and opened in Adobe Illustrator. We use Pro to make geologic maps and our symbology relies primarily on fonts. These fonts are the FGDC GeoSymbols which are 5 individual fonts that build point, line, and polygon symbols. We export the geologic map layout as an .aix file to finish the plate in Illustrator with the "Embed fonts" checked. Upon opening the Illustrator file, we are prompted that the document uses fonts that are currently not available on your computer. We go through and resolve the missing fonts and change them to the matching fonts, but that does not fix the fonts and symbology display. Some symbols will display correctly, the majority of them will not. I double check and select a symbol that uses the same font character and it is using the correct character, but no symbol appears in the map (been an issue recently/primarily with foliation symbols). This also happens for symbols along a line, it will display a "?" or other wing-dings. This may not be an Esri issue, but it is frustrating! I've read another community post that solved font display issues by unchecking "Embed fonts" upon export (https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-maps-for-adobe-creative-cloud-questions/font-bug-opening-aix-in-ai/m-p/1032556/highlight/true#M368). We tried this and it did fix some of the symbol/font issues, although not all of them. Doesn't seem like much of a solution to export the file with the w/ Embed fonts turned off, especially when embedding fonts is supposed to help ensure the fonts display correctly. And, turning it off semi-fixes the very task that it's supposed to do! I've uinstalled and reinstalled the fonts which did not fix the problem either. I checked the stylx file to ensure that the correct font is being referenced in the symbol properties. Had the same issue in .aix and after saving as an .ai file too. Any help would be appreciated and would like to hear if anyone else has had this problem. I've had this problem with exporting .ai files from ArcMap and were able to fix those broken fonts in Illustrator, but with the .aix format we have not been able to correct these fonts the same way we could from .ai files exported from ArcMap. Versions we're running- ArcGIS Pro v. 3.1.3 ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud v. 3.5 Adobe Illustrator v. 27.8.1 (64-bit)

Having the same issues with halo'd font from AIX to Illustrator. The halo's and text are shifted or letters missing/cutoff entirely. The only way I've gotten around it is to drag the halo'd font under a raster so that it gets exported as a graphic, but then I lose the editability of the text and compromises having my labels go over all my other data. The other workaround that works most of the time, is to export as a PDF, then open with Illustrator, but that gets rids of all my layer organization and limits editing. But, at least my text looks OK! This was a problem with ArcMap too and it is frustrating that this problem has gotten worse in Pro.

It would be great if there was an option to set the prefix of the attachment name to the Global ID, so that the downloaded picture and data point can be related. I've seen in older versions of this tool that you could set the Feature ID to the related table ID to export attachments, as shown in this how-to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fw1K8rmV8O4.

We need to be able to batch download all the attachments from AGOL with the global ID or spatial data included. Downloading one-by-one is inefficient and easy to lose track of what image is linked to what point. We use field maps primarily for geological fieldwork collecting structural data and outcrop photo's resulting in hundreds of points, not being able to download all attachments have soured some users from using Field Maps at all.

Experiencing the same problem upon closing and re-opening projects. Tried relating back to the source DEM and only seeing a gray layer. I have several raster function layers and it's time consuming to rebuild all the raster function layers and/or to export each raster function layer. Hoping for a solution.

We are experiencing the same issue with some of our mappers using iPads in remote areas. Would the solution you gave at the link, solve this issue? https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-field-maps-questions/ios-login-issue/m-p/1138204/highlight/true#M2366

I need a solution to this as well, as the link is gone. We use USGS topographic maps as our base-maps and there is no way to easily make it so the white background is set to no color. Is there any way to edit internal colormaps in Pro, it says to click to modify symbol but yet doesn't allow me to? It was really easy to do in ArcMap just right click the color you wanted to change and change the color, in Pro it doesn't let me change the colors in symbology. A workaround I've found is to the open the topographic map in ArcMap then set the white background value to 'No color' then save that as a layer file, then in Pro 'Import from layer file' to get the correct symbology. It works, but it is an inconvenience, especially since every topographic map has a different value for the white background so for every quadrangle you would have to go through this process. Below is an example of importing a layer file to a different quadrangle than the original layer file was created from... Any tips?
