Hello, I'm looking for guidance on how to automatically export multiple layouts as png or jpg images based upon a pre-configured layout that I manually set up (symbology, scale, scale bar, north arrow, etc.). I have a dataset that has 365 columns of daily measurements in a full calendar year (1 Jan - 31 Dec). My ultimate goal is to create an animated gif map of these values over time. I would like to export a consistently-themed layout for each day as jpg or png so I can create this gif. An example image of part of my dataset is below. Question #1: Anyone know how to automatically export 365 daily jpg/png files from this? Question #2 (bonus question): Any tips on how I can automatically add a custom annotation header to each jpg/png file? I would like the calendar date to be annotated at the top of each image (for example, the map image for column Day001 would have an image heading "January 1", and so on....). TIA! #python #automate #export #layout

Yes. The same point data (projected UTM coordinate system) that was used successfully to produce MCPs (genmcp) was used in kde. I also tried setting extents (even though that is optional). Null output each time, and the geographic reference was lost.

Hi, I recently downloaded Geospatial Modeling Environment (GME) to support some analyses of ecological telemetry data. I need to run some KDE analyses. I have upgraded ArcGIS desktop to v10 (SP4), updated R (2.15.0) and installed the data libraries and statconn. I can calculate basic MCPs for my data using the genmcp command, no problem. So I know that at least some of the software is working. However, I try to run the kde for the same data and I get null (empty) output regardless of the input, or other parameters. I've tried the default kde settings, as well as other values, and the result is the same. The output also lacks geographic reference, which was something that was retained for other analyses like genmcp. So it makes me think that the kde command requires something else. Anyone experience this? Troubleshooting ideas? ArcGIS Desktop 10 (SP4) GME 0.6.2 R (2.15.0) StatConn Thanks for any info. http://www.spatialecology.com/gme/index.htm

You can do it in Arc10: import arcpy, os
arcpy.env.workspace = "c:/junk"
tableList = arcpy.ListTables()
arcpy.Merge_management(tableList, "easy.dbf") In 9.x, it's much more involved. What version of Arc are you using? Thanks! The code you provided worked. I swear that at one time I tried that very same piece of code and I got an error. Sometimes you just need to step away for a while or get a fresh pair of eyes on it. Thanks again. ..... oh, and I'm using 10.0.

Hello, Can anyone tell me how to merge multiple dbf tables from the same folder into one large dbf table? Let's say I have 5 dbf tables with identical schema in the following folder: "C:\\Data\\Tables". I've tried listing the tables and using that object as the input, but to no avail. I haven't found much help on other forums as well... This sounds so simple, but for some reason I can't figure it out: gp.workspace = "C:\\Data\\Tables" tablelist = gp.ListTables("*") gp.Merge_management(tablelist, "C:\\Data\\Tables\\merged.dbf") Thanks for any input.
