Currently, when adding WMTS layers to a web map, there is no way to add multiple WMTS layers at a time. For example, if I have 40 individual county layers of imagery, I have to go through the process to add imagery 40 times in the web map. It would be helpful if you could check/select multiple layers to be added simultaneously, similar to the process of adding WMS layers to a web map.

To streamline the creation of Experience Builder (ExB) map-centric apps, it would be extremely helpful to have the ability to import WAB apps from your organization. Ideally, the import tool would import widgets (if available on ExB), configurations, styles, etc. This would create a great starting point and prevent 100% manual recreation of the apps when migrating from WAB to ExB.

To piggy back off this great idea, I believe it would also be very useful to have some basic data recovery tools for Portal Data Stores. For instance, if someone accidentally deletes 100 features from a Hosted Feature Service, it's not efficient to recover the deleted data by restoring Enterprise using the webdr tool.

Unfortunately, no. Waiting on esri to fix. It is currently listed as medium severity. I hope they fix it soon.

Great idea! I would like to add something additional to this. I think it would also be great to be able to securely add/invite users outside your organization with a Portal or AGOL license to be a member of your Portal group similar to how you can add/invite AGOL users outside your organization to an AGOL group. This would be a much better solution than a distributed collaboration since AGOL has a hard-coded 1 GB limit. It would also be much easier to setup the sharing of data and maps this way.

We are experiencing the same issue in Portal 10.7. I have tried multiple browsers and all require you to save the file (in our case images mostly), instead of opening the files for viewing in a new browser tab. Is this a bug? Reported to Esri Tech Support: #BUG-000125496

Did you ever find a resolution to this? I am running into the same issue. Have it set to copy, but it fails and then just references the synced AGO files. Sync is enabled on all of the layer files I am trying to sync through collaboration. Is there a file size limitation on files synced through a distributed collaboration?

Peter, Thanks for the reply. When you say shared with "everyone", do you mean making the layer public? If so, I don't think a collaboration will work for what we are doing, as the data needs to remain private.

My question wasn't very clear, so apologies. What I am asking is if I am the AGOL collaboration host, I shouldn't need to give invitees a login through my AGOL subscription in order for them to access, correct? They should be able to login with their Portal credentials, right?

It would seem counterproductive when setting up a Collaboration to require a login on both sides (AGOL & Portal).

Jake, Thanks for the tool. It works great to download individual hosted layers, but can it also be used to download the entire hosted feature as a GDB, similar to the functionality of Export in AGO?

Can this code be adapted to bulk rename picture attachments collected with Collector for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online? The picture attachments have been downloaded locally but need to be renamed based on feature class ID attribute (e.g. Stop_ID in a point feature class).

No, unfortunately it hasn’t been implemented, and I’ve never found a work around. They list the status for my support request regarding this issue as “not in current product plan” and the severity as “low”, so it doesn’t appear it will happen anytime soon. You can, however, vote for the idea here: https://shar.es/1CQBQj
