In 10.2.x there was a FindTask method that implemented a generic search within layers of an mpk. Is there an equivalent in Quartz? Thanks

It seems that if starting a local map service that takes more than 100 seconds a timeout occurs and an exception of 'A task was cancelled.' is thrown. Is there any way to increase this timeout? Thanks Paul

Ok - So the code examples you give for runtime Quartz will not work because the Esri rest endpoints (layers) are invalid for the example you provide in the tutorial. Can you give valid endpoints for your examples in the code tutorial? I am not trying to be difficult but if I try with my local ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 endpoints with one feature layer then it still does not work. Someone In Esri needs to take responsibility for this. Morten can you escalate this to someone in ArcGIS Server/ ArcGIS Online? Thanks Paul

Thanks for the reply Morten. The problem with the links you supplied is that they are not for not for Quartz and I am using the Esri tutorial code from https://developers.arcgis.com/net/latest/wpf/guide/create-an-offline-map.htm and the Esri ArcGIS online feature service uri and it is still not working. I can supply the code I am using but it is just what Esri is saying to use!

The wildcard queries in a local map service on a layer or table from an mpk do not seem to be working. If I create a query such at: some_field like ‘%1%’ …and call the QueryFeaturesAsync method then zero records are always returned. Has the wildcard character changed in Quartz? Even if I query the endpoint that is spun up via a web browser then still no records are found. Oddly, if I use: some_field like ‘1%’ …(missing the first wildcard character) then records are returned.

I am getting an error using the sample code (https://developers.arcgis.com/net/latest/wpf/guide/create-an-offline-map.htm) for creating an offline replica geodatabase: "Job failed. Job error 22 User defined failure. Error while handling generate geodatabase job status. Job error 400 Failed to create replica. Multiple layers are referencing a dataset, which is not supported." Even if I point the endpoint to a local ArcGIS Server feature service with only 1 layer in it I get the same error. If I create it with the same arguments within a web browser then it creates the replica on the server without issue. Does anyone know a solution to this? Thanks Paul

Thanks Antti It seems that I just have to extent the LocationDataSource class and override the OnStartAsync and OnStopAsync methods so is quite similar to 10.2.

I am inviting users to ArcGIS online using a csv file that includes a password via a Python script. The users get added but their passwords are temporary and when they login it forces them to change it. Is there any way to not force them to change their password? Thanks

Found that you can create an ArcGIS Online user via the following endpoint: http://<yourcompany>.maps.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/portals/self/invite You can call this after you have obtained a token from: https://www.arcgis.com/sharing/generateToken

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same error on all my related queries in my offline geodatabase both parent to child and visa versa. I am using the 10.2.6 .net API. Thanks Paul

I am using both QueryTask and FindTask in 10.2.6 runtime sdk for dotnet on a local mpk and have 2 issues with them. The first issue is that a QueryTask names the attributes of the features using the column name. A FindTask names the attributes of the features using the Alias name. The second and more important issue is that the FindTask does not populate the Subtype columns. QueryTask works correctly so my work-around is to use the FindTask to initially find the features in the various layers and then use a QueryTask for each layer selecting via the object id's found by the FindTask. Has anyone else come across these issues? Thanks

Hi When you create a Web Map in ArcGIS Online you can set the option to ‘Enable offline mode’. I can load this web map into the application but how can you utilise the offline functionality in the ArcGIS Runtime 10.2.5 .net SDK framework? Thanks
