As of 4/10/24, this feature appears to have been broken again in the new map viewer. Is there going to be an update soon?

Thankfully, no, just labeling. But thanks for the heads up. That is good to know and I will keep it in mind.

Awesome! We are in the process of migrating to 10.3.1 right now. Just one more reason to do so. Thanks!

We have several services that are being used by other entities and they have scripted some things that query by the layer number. I needed to add a new data layer to one of those services and when I republished it renumbered all of the data layers (which obviously broke their query). Is there any way to lock the layer numbering that's done when you publish a service? I know I could just publish a separate service for any new data layers I needed to add but I would prefer not to if I don't have to.

I contacted tech support and apparently I needed an add-in installed. Please see the below if any ones else has this same issue. 1. Download the addin_assistant.zip from the website. http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=5f3aefe77f6b4f61ad3e4c62f30bff3b 2. Typically the next step is to unzip the add_assistant.zip file and save it to the location of your choice. In this case, the customer picked the open option and so the file was automatically unzipped and the bin folder was loaded directly on your machine. 3. Double Click on the addin_assistant.exe file from within the bin folder. 4. The Add-in Wizard will open.

Yes, technically, it's not versioned because it moves the edits to base, but regardless I still need to compress my database (it's SQL) and it's not working if I try to run it through model builder. Why? It's the same tool and it works fine, if I run it straight out of toolbox.

To allow multi-user editing, but without all the overhead of administering reconciling and posting.

I have an SDE versioned database but we are only using the default version so no reconcile and posting necessary, but I still need to compress the database periodically. If I run the compress straight out of toolbox I don't have any issues, but I want to run the compress nightly so I don't have to kick all my editors out and if I drag compress into modelbuilder and try to run it I get error code 000099:the dataset cannot be compressed. what's going on? I really need this as a scheduled task.

I'm trying to get our buildings room/space information out of Revit and into our GIS. Our room identifiers are stored as object properties in Revit and not as annotation. However none of the export formats seem to be retaining the object properties when they are brought into ArcGIS. I'm using DI extension. If I use DWF I can see the object properties in Design Review, but they are no where to be found in the DWF in ArcGIS. I can see the features, but there are no supporting attributes. If I export to an IFC, the object properties come thru as a table only in ArcGIS. That would be fine if there were an ID field to join to the geometry data that also comes through with the line and poly layers, but alas there isn't. I'm at a loss. Is anyone able to get their object properties out of Revit and into ArcGIS? How are you doing it? (3rd party export utilities, other export formats, some setting in Revit) Any suggestions would be appreciated. Unfortunately, ESRI tech support was unable to provide any suggestions.

Does CityEngine support IFC's or BiM/ Revit models? Is there any plan for it to support those 3D models in the future? How are people currently serving out their BiM models; ArcGlobe?

I am trying to mass import some cad floorplans. My model runs fine if I specify just 1 specific CAD file. I just can't figure out the iteration portion. I've tried using iterate files and iterate datasets. I only need polys and anno, ultimately. I attached a screen shot if it helps. I'm clearly missing some key part of this. HELP! Doing this manually is not even an option.
