Not supporting the geometry over ride and not being able to export to ai makes it difficult when creating complex maps for print such as a road map. Especially when the tools available to staff is Pro 2.0 and ArcMap 10.3.1.

Turns out it was a legacy text issue. Recreated all of the annotation in current version of ArcGIS and there were no issues exporting from .mxd to .ai

I am having the same problem. ArcGIS 10.1 to Illustrator CS5. Text Tweaker was suggested but didn't fix the problem in Illustrator. Very frustrating! I have a map with LOTS of text. Exporting or printing to a pdf, then opening the pdf in Illustrator and saving as an ai file seems to work, but I am concerned there are problems I can't see due to the complexity of the map. ESRI?

I am exporting from ArcMap 10.1 to Illustrator CS5. When I open the ai file there are a lot of text errors. I have tried changing the export dpi but the issue isn't resolved. I can accept a few errors but there are too many to fix in ai. This is a workflow that I have used before (ArcMap 9.3) with minimal to no errors. The only thing that has changed is I have moved to ArcMap 10.1. Any ideas to fix this problem? Thanks, Lori Martin

I have an ArcSDE geodatabase with feature classes stored in Geographic. I am making a map in Lambert and plan on using cartographic representations. I am wondering how projecting on the fly will affect the cartographic representations. Should I store the data in Lambert? Thanks.

Cartographic representations do not import due to the blob field. Copy and paster works though.
