I am just getting started with Indoors and have received CAD files for our facility. For the units layer, there are multiple annotation anchor points, and only one makes it into the target field. Since I don't have control over how the CAD is created or organized, is there a way for me to instruct the import CAD script to capture all annotations? For a specific example, see the image below. I want the 001A to be carried over, but instead M018 is the only thing that makes it. Or do I need to do some manual splitting/filtering of the input CAD prior to running the script? Thanks for any guidance.

I have a web app where map data is being transcribed. Frequently, field values repeat across features, so it would be great to implement autocomplete where suggestions would be shown after typing three letters (for example). Basically I'd like to implement the suggest capabilities of the Search Widget within the Editor widget. Any pointers or existing implementations to look at would be very much appreciated! I'm on 4.20 of the API for reference.

Hi, I'm attempting to consume features from a hosted WFS service on ArcGIS Online. I'm using the same layer used in the WFS example for the JavaScript API (WFS Layer | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 3.30 ). The ArcGIS JavaScript example works fine, but fails when I attempt to read the layer using Leaflet-WFST. Looking closer at the response to the GetFeature request, note the value for xmlns:JapanPrefectures2018 in line 5. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<wfs:FeatureCollection xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
xmlns:wfs="http://www.opengis.net/wfs" xmlns:gml="http://www.opengis.net/gml"

The value needs to be http://dservices.arcgis.com/V6ZHFr6zdgNZuVG0/arcgis/services/JapanPrefectures2018/WFSServer. I attempted publishing a WFS Layer using a hosted feature layer and it produces the same error. I also tried publishing a WFS service from ArcGIS Pro, which works perfectly, I'm guessing because the Namespace is set as an option when publishing via Pro. Any ideas? Is this a bug? Something I've missed? Something else?

Thanks Xander! As you mention in that post, it does make sense to start with the closest match in the gallery, then customize from there.

I have a feature class of points in a number of classes that I want to remove the outline for (set width to 0). Although I can tediously click on each symbol and access the Layers dialog under Properties, and from there alter the color/width, there's no option to do so under Format All Symbols, as with Polygon feature classes. If there's no "format all symbols" option for point outline, is there a way to set a default point symbology that leaves out the outline?

Thanks for the response Chris. That is, in effect, what I've been doing. In the process of clicking through page after page of resources from 1 or 2 organizations, however I started to think (hope) there must be a better way.

Here in Minnesota, new Open Data sites are cropping up fairly regularly. I aggregate these sites and a number of other sources for our data discovery portal. Is it possible to see a simple list of existing open data sites? Up to this point I simple zoom to Minnesota and scroll through results and hope to see anything new. Any tips are much appreciated!

Thanks Domenico. As it turns out, I had everything correct for the CA cert, but had simply neglected to adjust the Windows Firewall settings on my server to permit connections via the 6443 port. Everything seems to be working perfectly now. Cheers, Kevin

Hi all, I'm new to SSL certificates and all that, so I'm hoping someone could provide a little clarification. First a little background. We have a simple ArcGIS Server site setup (let's call it site.lib.school.edu), consisting of 1 machine. That one machine is named machine.lib.school.edu. The application I've developed using the JavaScript API will ultimately be housed on a secured HTTPS location. In order to prevent browsers such as Chrome and IE from blocking content from my HTTP based server, I'm hoping to enable SSL on my server. None of the content being handled is sensitive or in need of security, really. It's simply that the ultimate location being HTTPS is breaking calls to the server. When I look at the default selfsignedcertificate for machine.lib.school.edu, the common name on the certificate differs from the machine name, and is listed as machine.ad.school.edu. First question, if I simply were to enable SSL on the site (via site.lib.school.edu:6080/arcgis/admin/security/config/update) while using the default self-signed cert, would the difference in the common name be enough to prevent it from working? Second question, should the common name for the self-signed certificate match that of the site, or the server machine? I'm just hoping to get a basic level of HTTPS support and from there move onto installing a CA signed certificate. AGS is installed on Windows Server 2008 R2. Is there anything I need to do outside of AGS if I'm not using the Web Adaptor? Am I totally off-base with my thinking on this stuff (my feeling is that I probably am!). I appreciate any advice or at least direction. I've followed the directions in the help to no avail, and have tried creating a self-signed cert with matching common names (I've tried to match the machine name in one instance and the site name in another). Thanks, Kevin Dyke

Hi all, I've been getting encountering issues working with samples for version 3.0. First of all, I've just started working with the API recently, so am not sure what needs to be changed with the move to Dojo 1.7 in v3.0. Using this sample as an example, after copying the code and saving it locally, I can view it in IE9, but neither Chrome or Firefox allow it. Chrome gives an error "Request header field X-Requested-With is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Headers", while Firefox spits out an error message of "Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: http://servicesbeta.esri.com/jsapi/arcgis/?v=3.0 :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 15" data: no]" However, when designating the URL of the API in the head of my HTML, if instead of this: http://serverapi.arcgisonline.com/jsapi/arcgis/?v=3.0 I use this: http://servicesbeta.esri.com/jsapi/arcgis/?v=3.0 It then loads okay in all browsers, but still gives the errors, and intermittently does not work. The result being, I'm quite confused. I'm currently without an instance of Server, so hosting the API locally isn't an option at this point. Any advice as to what's happening, where I've gone wrong, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Here's the HTML I've been referencing. Hopefully I'm just making a bonehead mistake!
