The first solve seemed to double back on itself excessively. I'm sure part of this can be attributed to the point density that was used. We are also trying to minimize left turns, so it seemed that starting with a route that wasn't doubling back quite as much would be an easier manual fix. I double checked the settings on the second solve and even with the curb approach set to "Right side of vehicle", I'm still getting the u-turn locations.

I am using VRP to route trash trucks to houses and I am trying to eliminate U turns except at dead ends. When I initially ran the analysis, it followed the no U turn rule correctly, but now it's randomly turning just before intersections and mid-block. I'm using the same network dataset, so I would have thought that it would have encountered any issues in the first run. More information: The first time through, I ran 4 routes to ~600 locations (I combined pick up points to stay within the limits of the VRP). I used seed points to make sure that each route maintained a general geographic area. Once I was able to get 4 routes that I was happy with geographically, I found that some of the routing decisions made within the route were odd. It obeyed the "no U-turns except at dead ends" rule perfectly. I then chose to extract all the addresses identified in the previous run through for each route (just over 700 points) and ran a new VRP with just one route in hopes that I could eliminate some of the oddities I found in the original routing. The route found includes U turns at various points that seem to have no rhyme or reason. Many of them actually take place mid network segment - attached is a snapshot showing this. Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated!

I'm looking at using the Quick Report app template for engaging the community in our cities Monarch initiative but I've been unable to find an app to look at that's used it to see the logistics of using it. If anyone has built one and wouldn't mind sharing, I'd be very appreciative!

Awesome, thank you so much for your help. I do have another question. As I'm exploring this option for profile graphing, is there a way to further customize labeling? I'd like to be able show multiple attributes at the same time but seem to be able to only do so on one line and not show what those attributes actually are. It might be super simple, but I have not done much work with XML in the past obviously, so I'm not sure how to go about this.

This is the portion that I did within the profile graph section. I'm not looking to use any of the other tools at the moment. I'm only doing a very small sample of our dataset right now while I determine the feasibility of doing our entire network. The geometric network has no errors, so I wouldn't think that would be the issue.

I'm currently trying to use the water utility add-on to create elevation profiles of our cities sewer network. I have a set of sample data in a geometric network and have configured the profile tool -- there are no more errors when I load it. When I select the profile tool and try to click on my first point however, I get a pop up that says "a location was not found", which is rather vague and unhelpful in figuring out what went wrong. Is this a data problem? A tool problem? All I'm looking to do is show manhole elevations - top and bottom - and pipe flow elevations, I don't need any of the other tools necessarily so if there is a different way to go about this, I'm all ears.
