I would like to start Pixel Editor in ArcGIS Pro 2.4.2, but it is grayed out on the ribbon. I have a TIF file I'd like to edit selected in the Contents pane, no other Pixel Editor session is running, and I have the Image Analyst extension enabled. What am I missing here? EDIT: A close and reopen seems to have done the trick.

I'd like to be able to convert between two Canadian vertical coordinate systems: CGVD28 and CGVD2013. The staff at Natural Resources Canada have a conversion grid which is in ".byn" format (Canadian Geodetic Survey binary geoid file), but have offered to convert to another format if ArcGIS can't read/use it. I don't have a handle on the different methods & formats supported, and which would be most appropriate. Melita Kennedy, what can I tell them? Or - is this file something ESRI already has in hand?

Agreed, the report designer doesn't let you add brand-new fields to the report - ones that weren't originally chosen to be available during setup with the report wizard. As a workaround, I was able to open up the ".rlf" and add additional available fields by imitating the syntax for existing fields under the headings <SourceFields> and <ReportFields>: <SourceFields>
<Field Name="OBJECTID" SafeName="OBJECTID" Type="6" SortAsc="True" />
<Field Name="GlobalID" SafeName="GlobalID" Type="10" SortAsc="True" />
<Field Name="Street_Number" SafeName="Street_Number" Type="4" SortAsc="True" />
<Field Name="Street_Name" SafeName="Street_Name" Type="4" SortAsc="True" />
<Field Name="SORT" SafeName="SORT" Type="0" SortAsc="True" />
<Field Name="MAP" SafeName="MAP" Type="4" SortAsc="True" />
<Field Name="PHOTO" SafeName="PHOTO" Type="4" SortAsc="True" />
</SourceFields>
<ReportFields>
<Field Name="Street_Name" />
<Field Name="Street_Number" />
<Field Name="SORT" />
<Field Name="MAP" />
<Field Name="PHOTO" />
</ReportFields>

I did a little more investigating with a brand new blank MXD. I added a single text box, and then under the Advanced Text tab tried different Text Background options. No issues with Balloon Callout or Marker Text Background. Same slow issues with Line Callout that I was experiencing above. BUT... even worse issues with Simple Line Callout. With this option set, I couldn't even right click on the text and have the context menu come up so I could open properties - I had to shut down ArcMap to move on. What is going on here?

Hi, I have a map with several (~16) callout text elements in the layout. I realize that leaders & background, etc., add processing time, but things have slowed down considerably since upgrading to 10.2.2. (moving, selecting, opening the properties window, everything!) No difference if this text is in the data frame or layout. I've resorted to trading desks with a colleague who's still on 10.1 to make edits. Is this a known/common issue? Is there anything I can try without reducing the amount of formatting or kicking a coworker off their computer? Thanks!

Hi, I'd like to know if there is a "snapping" capability hidden somewhere in ArcGIS Explorer, or if there is a way to add it, for use with the measure tool. Any thoughts? Kent

I'm baffled to find no help entry, even in a fulltext search, on viewfield angle. This is one of arcscene's most critical settings. I'm keen to know what kind of projection is used to wrap up to 179 degrees of the scene, because with high angles a distortion is very evident. But there's nothing at all in the help files. Why is ArcScene not properly documented? I don't think that there's a traditional "map projection" involved here, the viewfield is more about camera angles - a photographer might give you a better answer. I've got a related question, though - is there a rule of thumb for figuring out what a "natural" or "realistic" viewfield angle is? I want to get lots of stuff on my screen (i.e. a wider angle), but I don't want to be misleading about what someone's view might actually look like when the items in our project are eventually built.
