The icon I am trying to replace is the default black circle with orange arrow. So, the demc.png is the filename for my icon. Ok, I get it now. <iconfield> is the name of the field in the attribute table that would have the name of the icon image, so it can change. But I am trying to use a static image (does not change), so I changed the code as you suggested: <links> <link includeinresults="false" field="dem_url2" alias="DEM URL" tooltip="Download DEM (Post-Sandy)" popuplinktype="image"><iconprefix>http://myserver/data/images/demc.png</iconprefix> </link> </links> And it works! Thanks!

I am trying to change the icon in the results for the eSearch Widget for Flex (version 3.6). It still shows the default, despite my additions to the iconfield code (below). Any idea what I am doing wrong? <links> <link includeinresults="false" field="dem_url2" alias="DEM URL" tooltip="Download DEM (Post-Sandy)" popuplinktype="image"><iconprefix>http://myserver/data/images/</iconprefix> <iconfield>demc</iconfield> <iconsuffix>.png</iconsuffix> </link> </links> Where "myserver" is my server name. The icon is in the inetpub/wwroot/data/images folder and I can access the image through my browser without issue. I'm not sure I completely understand the config doc description for the code onlythese ="false" (under <layers>) and popuponly="false" (under <field>), so perhaps one or the other must be true? I think I tried all combinations, but any thoughts is appreciated.

I am having a similar problem. I want to see a pie chart showing the percentage of selected line segments in each CCOL1_1 category (in the preceding example above, s/he wanted them classed by Material). My chart seems to show every single line segment as an individual 'slice of pie' rather than the total segments. This is my first time attempting the chart widget. Thanks for any help! <?xml version="1.0" ?>

Great widget, Robert. Have a question... We have a link to sample description sheets in the pop-up that are sometimes scanned as a PDF and other times a JPG. When it is a JPG, a small image of the JPG displays in the pop-up rather than the link alias text (see attached image for example). Can I modify the code to not display this image in the pop-up? We'd rather consistently have the text "Download Core Description Sheet". I do not have the icon set (using default), but that appears to only affect the search results window, not the pop-up. Code is below in case I have missed something... Thanks! <fields all="false">

Perfect! I had the wrong wkid. Thanks!! That service supports many projections (see the section of the capabilities with the comment "All supported EPSG projections:") including 3857, which is equivalent to 102100. Try: <layer label="Marine" type="wms" visible="true" url="http://cmgds.marine.usgs.gov/geoserver/track/ows" skipgetcapabilities="true" wkid="3857" visiblelayers="lidar"/>

I realize this is different service, but similar issue... I am trying to get a WMS service (created by someone else using OpenLayers) in my Flex map viewer (v3.3) The service: http://cmgds.marine.usgs.gov/geoserver/track/ows?request=GetCapabilities&service=wms&version=1.1.1 I am using Oceans basemap so the spatial reference of the viewer is web mercator (wkid=102100), right? And I think this service is wkid=4326 Does that mean I cannot add this service to my viewer? Or can I put this in the call statement? If I can, can you suggest the code for my config.xml?

Thank you! I got the widget working on flex 3.1 on a test box. But I will upgrade my viewer to 3.3 and try your code. One other thing I was doing wrong was that I had set the type="tiled" rather than "image" in the .xml, which is why it was chugging but not loading the image services (D'OH!)

Does anyone have updated compiled code for the Map Services widget for version 3.2 or 3.3? I am interested in adding it to a viewer, but the code posted for v3.1 does not seem to work with my v3.2 viewer. I can select a layer from the list, but it just chugs and chugs and never adds the service to the map. I am assuming it is because of the incompatible versions, but of course not entirely certain since I'm a newbie at Flex. Thanks in advance for any help. Here is link to Map Services widget: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=4ed10ea387444952a3f3f501fee02b76

Kathryn, Have a look at the help for managing custom widgets here: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-viewer/concepts/index.html#/Managing_custom_widgets/01m30000004m000000/ Regards Anthony Excellent. Thanks Anthony! I was able to get the widget in the App Builder (yeah!). However I am still having some trouble with the code. The results table won't display. Is this the best place to post questions regarding the code or should I go someplace else (Sorry, Forum newbie here). Thanks!

This may sound like a dumb question... but how do I get the identify widget into the Application Builder for editing? I have a viewer I created a few days ago (in 3.2). Here are my basic steps... I copied the identify folder from "For_AppBuilder3.2" folder into the widgets folder of my viewer. I copied the assets to the assets folder. I added the Identify widget to the widget container in the config.xml file. <widget url="widgets/Identify/IdentifyWidget.swf" config="widgets/Identify/IdentifyWidget.xml" label="Identify" icon="assets/images/i_info.png" /> Then I opened the viewer in Application Builder and selected widgets. When I try to edit the Identify widget, I get the error: "Could not find Identify module for Identify widget" Did I miss something? Or did I not understand some of the discussion earlier in the thread about editing the widget in App Builder? I tried editing the xml code by hand and broke it, so thought I would try using the App Builder instead. Thank you in advance for your help!

I am having a similar problem... I have an image mosaic web service of geotiffs (32-bit float continuous 1-band data). I have a client who wants to consume using a open source web service using the WMS. This provides them with a gray-scale image and they want to serve it as a stretched color ramp. Is a way of configuring the WMS to serve the data with a set color ramp rather than grey-scale? I tried creating an .msd and serving it as a map server instead of image and it handles the mosaic footprint and boundary, but does not like the image data of the mosaic. I found some instructions in the 10.1 help on using SLD with WMS, but we are still using version 10.0 (it'll be at least a year before we upgrade) so it does not look like I can package it this way (I'm not sure I could figure out how to write the SLD XML code anyway). Any suggestions appreciated.
