Not the Arc GIS Server connection, but the message looks like you have a data connection. Do you use a data connection one in your script ?

Have you checked if the connection is registered on the local server ?

Hi everyone, I'm creating a medium complex model (in Model Builder) in which i add different home made python script tools. When i run the whole model, an exception is raised because for some reason, as one of my scripts gets the set of input parameters that where used for the preceding run script. For example let say i have Script1 S1Parameter1 S1Parameter2 S1Parameter3 Script2 S2Parameter1 S2Parameter2 The tool for Script1 is run, the output is collected and used in some process, and then tool for Script2 is run. Well, script2 receives the set of parameters of Script1 (S1Parameter1, S1Parameter2, S1Parameter3) ..... If i try to get de parameters values from Sys.argv[], i can see the right parameters where sent (S2Parameter1, S2Parameter2). But the arcpy.getparametersinfo() returns (S1Parameter1, S1Parameter2, S1Parameter3) I'have seen in arcgis help (ArcGIS Help 10.1) that arcpy.getparametersinfo() can take the tool name as argument, but i tried all possible ways to set Tool_Name for my tool but could'nt find the right one. So have someone got the same problem ? and can someone tell me the right way to use the arcpy.getparametersinfo(tool_name) methode ?

Hi everyone, I've been struggling for days about this one. I've created a model including a python script tool (to create a geostatistical layer). Everything goes smooth on ArcMap. I can publish the service one time. Works well when tested. But trying to update it after a few changes where made (number of parameters, type of parameters (optional to required), etc...), after deleting the existing service and publishing it again, i get the ERROR 000820: The parameters need repair. I lost a few (numerous actually) days trying to figure out what was wrong about the script, the parameters, the model. Then, i recently find out the service directory was just not updated as i was publishing, even if the corresponding service was deleted either in ArcGIS Admin or in ArcMap. Of course, i can go to the directory and physically delete it any time a delete the service, but i was wondering if there is a way to force ArcGIS Server to delete the service's physical directory when the service is deleted, or to make sure it's correctly updated when the service is published. Any help is welcome

Hi everyone, I've been spending hours and days trying to figure out this. I've to create a geoprocessing, published via ArcGIS Server, that can create a geostatistical layer based on various Input geostatistical model sources. The end user would have to select the kind of conguration he wants, and the specified configuration file (xml) would then be used. The point is, ive tried the following with no success, all working well on ArcMAP, and failing miserably once published: - Using a calculate value tool, that can process user input and output the configuration file path, that is then used via inline variable in the Create Geostastical Layer tool. - Using a calculate value tool, that can process user input and output a file variable for the configuration file, that is then used via inline variable in the Create Geostastical Layer tool. The service is correctly published, but while trying to execute, it fails on start up, and only says

Error executing tool. Ã?chec de lâ??exécution de (CokrigeageBaseHalfLit).

Nothing else can be obtained from the log. I've done all i could to make sure all the settings and environnements are correct. - I createg a log tool, that i use in the model, that can print a file path, just to make sure the calculated file path is ok. - The configuration file is copied exactly in the same directories locally and on the server. - If i set the file name directly in the Create Geostastical Layer tool, it works like a charm - Setting it after a Calculate Value just does'nt make it. It looks like on startup, a check is made on the Create Geoprocessing Layer tool, and if it does'nt sees the configuration file, it throws up the error, not taking in account all the preceding steps that can provide the required informations. I'm desparate ..... Please, have someone tried this with success ? Here is what it looks like

I'm having exactly the same problem here. It looks like the result of the Query layer Tool cannot be used by other subsequent tools in model builder or python, unless you make it manually. I was trying to use the Generate XY Events tool with the result of the Make Query Layer tool, but all i could get was error 00023 (Canot access to the event table properties) I tried any possible tools to convert the Query layer into another type of structure (table, view, etc.) and also tried to save it in whatever type of file, with absolutely no succes. The same things happens in Model Builder and Python. But manually in ArcMap, it works great. Please, do someone has a workaround for this ? Bakary.
