I'm sorry to say that Count, Min and Max are not currently available with a file geodatabase from the select list. They can be used in a limited way from a Sub Query. At ArcGIS 10.1 beta2 they will be available in the select list via a QueryDef. Thanks Lance, I thought I was losing my mind

I have the below code that runs on data in the Oracle SDE. I would like to run the same simple simple query on data in a file geodatabase, but I just get and error -2147467259 (80004005). If I change the sql to take out the word "Count" then everything is fine. I need to get Count, Maximum and Minimum from a Standalone table in a File Geodatabase. Please help. Thanks Private Sub cmdCheck_Click() 'error handler On Error GoTo EH Dim oConn As ADODB.Connection Dim strConnect As String Dim rs As ADODB.RecordSet Dim strSql As String ' open the database Set oConn = New ADODB.Connection strConnect = "Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle;" & frmMain.g_ADODataSource & _ "User Id='" & frmMain.g_strDB & "';" & "Password='" & frmMain.g_strPW & "'" oConn.Open strConnect ' create and run the query strSql = "select count(*) from mytablename " Set rs = New ADODB.RecordSet rs.Open strSql, oConn MsgBox rs(0).Value & " records" oConn.Close Exit Sub EH: MsgBox "Error in Check " & vbCrLf & _ Err.Description & vbCrLf & Err.Number End Sub

Spatial Reference of the data Search Radius Find only closest feature - checked? Max number of closest feature - default? (that is find all) Point to Point Nad83_utm14 5800 Meters is the radius Searching for ALL There are 300,000 points in each file, But it should only find like 50,000 matches Thanks Just Me

Recently I discovered this tool and love it. I have used it many times. Last week, it stopped working. I have 2 files with almost a million points. I run the Generate Near Table and I am hoping to identify all the points within a given distance. Previously when I have done this, my files were about the same size, may be a bit bigger this time. The table I created was a simple .dbf But as of last week when I run it, the .dbf gets to just over 2gb and then just hangs. So I changed the output to be a file geodatabase to avoid the file size limitations. I reran the job. I had 20gbs of space on they hard drive and it filled it completely. So then I deleted a bunch of stuff and cleared up almost 100gb. I reran the job several times and each time it fills up the hard drive. There is not that much data to do this. Anyone have any ideas what could be happening. I am using 9.3.1. I also upgraded to patch 2 today and tried it again but got the same results. I have made my file size smaller and still I can not get it to run. Any ideas????????????? I love this tool, but it just does not want to work. Thanks in advance. Just Me

I have read many posts with people using Delphi XE and ArcGIS, but I have no idea how to actually create the Com files needed to use the map controls within my application. I have done this in previous versions of delphi with older versions of Arcgis engine, but I can not figure this out. I have installed both the .net and the java versions of arcgis engine I have installed delphi xe I have imported the one dll that created a ArcGISVersionLib_TLB.pas file, but I need the map control and the tool bar and all the other components. Can someone please explain how I get these. The more detailed explanation the better. Very stressed. Thanks Just Me
