Thanks for the suggestion Brandon, I'll test arcpy.AddJoin out. I have 7 tables joined to the feature class I'm trying to export to SDE and the script has been running a good hour and a half and its still chewing on the 7th join. Thanks you for the advice! Ryan

I have a feature class that has several sql db tables joined to it. It's been my workflow to update values in these tables, and then export the joined feature class over to sde GDB to use for published map services. I'm trying to automate this step using python. Is there a way in Python to open a map document (with the feature class and joined tables), select the feature class and export the feature class to a Geodatabase? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

I'm trying to get the code right for a Polyline feature service of road segments with a related table of inspection history. I've been playing around with the example: Feature layer query multiple | ArcGIS API for JavaScript , but haven't got it to work for a Polyline feature rather than points. I believe the code the is giving me trouble is: function findWells(evt) { grid.setStore(null); var selectionQuery = new esri.tasks.Query(); var tol = map.extent.getWidth()/map.width * 5; var x = evt.mapPoint.x; var y = evt.mapPoint.y; var queryExtent = new esri.geometry.Extent(x-tol,y-tol,x+tol,y+tol,evt.mapPoint.spatialReference); selectionQuery.geometry = queryExtent; wellFeatureLayer.selectFeatures(selectionQuery,esri.layers.FeatureLayer.SELECTION_NEW); } Any ideas on how to write this function for a polyline? Thanks!

Doesn't look as though a patch exists for ArcGIS for Server 10.2.2. Jay, I'm wondering, were you able to go into your Sonic Wall firewall settings to allow this type of query to go through? Thanks! Ryan

I'm having trouble getting the "Share" widget to work. I set up my Parks feature class using the exact schema as ESRI's example, but the share widget does not recognize the selected feature or facility ID. Instead, it uses the current extent. I found in the Utils.js file of the application where it either uses a selected feature or else a current extent, and I believe everything is set up properly. function ShareLink(ext) { tinyUrl = null; var mapExtent = GetMapExtent(); var url = esri.urlToObject(window.location.toString()); if (selectedFeatureID) { var urlStr = encodeURI(url.path) + "?selectedFeatureID=" + selectedFeatureID; } else { var urlStr = encodeURI(url.path) + "?extent=" + mapExtent; } Is there anywhere else beside the config.js file where the FacilityID attribute needs to be defined? Anyone else have this problem and found a solution? Thank you, Ryan

Yeah! I figured it out. In case anyone else is interested, it's actually very, very simple. First, in the default.htm file, you need to reference the ArcGIS JavaScript 3.9 API using: <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://js.arcgis.com/3.9/js/esri/css/esri.css"> Then, in the locator.js file, at the function to populate parcel information (about line 606), add this to selectedParcel selectedParcel = feature.attributes[parcelAttributeID]; //Refresh the URL with the currently selected parcel if (typeof history.pushState !== "undefined") { window.history.pushState(null, null, "?getParcel=" + selectedParcel); } after that, if everything else is configured, your selected parcel ID should show up as a parameter to the URL. Wow, it's always much simpler than I think. Hope this saves someone some time!

Hi Owen, Thanks for your response, I appreciate the help, but I think the example you gave is from the html5 esri example. I'm trying to take the functionality of that sample and incorporate into the JSAPI Tax Parcel Viewer. (http://tryitlive.arcgis.com/TaxParcelViewer/) I'm hoping someone out there has had better luck with this than I'm having. Thanks Ryan

I've configured the Tax Parcel Viewer (10.2) for our City's needs, and now I would like to be able to parse the URL parameter of an attribute when selected. In other words, when a parcel is selected, I would like the parcel ID to be parsed as a parameter in the URL. Similar to this html5 sample viewer: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/exp_history.html. The problem is that I can't figure out how the incorporate this feature into the tax parcel viewer application. I believe it needs to be in the locator.js file, and could be accomplished with- "if (selection.length > 0) { var getParcel = selection[0].attributes["APN"]; //Refresh the URL with the currently selected parcel if (typeof history.pushState !== "undefined") { window.history.pushState(null, null, "?getParcel=" + selection[0].attributes.APN); } }" -but I have had any luck getting this to work. I'm wondering if anyone has attempted the same and maybe had success. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you

Hi all, I am looking for suggestions on tablets that have worked well for others out in the field. I would like to be able to perform edits to our concrete inspections without wifi or 4g data usage (completely disconnected), and would like to store all GIS data on the tablet itself. Our current method for concrete management inspections involves editing both a feature class and related work history tables, so I am thinking a tablet that is able to handle a full version ArcGIS desktop 10.1. This leads me to think I need a tablet with windows 7 or 8 (not windows 8 RT). The best method (I believe) would be to check out/check in our concrete data at the end of the day. Of course, I would like a tablet with good battery life, somewhat rugged, and minimal outdoor glare with its display. Anyone out there have any suggestions? The Dell xps 12 Ultrabook intriques me, kind of heavy when folded into tablet "mode" though. Any idea if there is anything on Android or IOS that could handle disconnected edits, including not just shapefiles, but related tables as well. An app that someone has developed perhaps? Love to hear anyone's suggestions on this. Thanks!

Sorry, That did actually correct the six hour time difference. Not sure why it was displaying the time six hours behind, but using your suggested code useutc="true" adds six hours to the time, giving me the correct time. Thanks! Ryan

Hi Robert, Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, useutc="true" or "false" didn't seem to make a difference. I may be mistaken, because UTC should be six hours AHEAD of my current time. For some reason, the search widget is displaying my current time as six hours BEHIND. In other words, where the current time is 3:15 pm the time displayed from the search widget is 9:15 AM. Any ideas? Thanks Ryan
