Is there a way to add a photographer credit for a banner image in ArcGIS Hub? (like there is in ArcGIS Story Maps, for example)

I have had a lot of success with the 3d basemaps solution. However, I'm currently stuck in a project when trying to create buildings with textures. I get to the "Add textures to buildings" task in the "Publish Buildings" task group, but the results of that specific task are that only a subset of buildings receive textures and the remainder don't display. When I repeat this I end up with a different set of buildings with textures but, again, others don't display. In each case, the rendered buildings within the scene are incomplete. Any ideas? This is the first time this phenomenon has occurred.

I am trying to create some 3D bridges based on a classified las dataset (that has a class code of 17 for Bridge Decks) using the Create Bride Surfaces from LAS Dataset tool. What is confusing me is that the Class Code parameter is requiring a Class Code of 1, 2, 6, 7, 9, 11, or 12. It doesn't let me select or input a class code of 17, even though that is the correct code for Bridge Decks. As a result, I can't run the tool. I'm guessing there is some simple explanation for what I am doing incorrectly. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. I realize you can do that for Stories, but I don't seem to see the same option for collections.

Thanks, Arthur. I did download the NAIP locally and it matched the area of the point cloud, so I'm not sure what the issue was. However, I performed the same colorization using ESRI's NAIP service and it worked perfectly! Thanks again.

Thanks Arthur! I was able to resolve my vertical problem. I will seek out the Imagery Showcase booth (virtually) with other questions I have. Speaking of which, I get to the Colorize Las stage of your workflow and no matter what adjustments I make to the tool settings, I still just end up with a grey colorized lasd. I'm thinking I must be missing something really basic but the solution hasn't been forthcoming! See attached.

Hi Arthur - really interesting blog. I have a question that is semi-related to your blog entry -- more specifically related to your #3 step towards the end of the blog: 3. Looked at the projection in the reports in the meta data downloaded and found it was not supported because it used meters instead of feet, modified a projection and then copied it using a simple model builder tool to give a projection file to each LAS file. When you say "modified a projection", what exactly are you doing in ArcGIS Pro? I have a las file with a known projection and vertical coordinate system (NAD 1983 (2011) UTM Zone 18N, NAVD88 height - Geoid12A (metres)) but when I generate the las dataset it floats above the surface. This suggests to me that I have in an incorrect vertical reference so I'm trying to figure out how to modify the projection or reproject the lasd to get the stars to align. See below. Any thoughts?

Thanks Owen – these are all great suggestions! And you are correct – I had removed the Sidecar (at least temporarily) in favor of the Web App Builder approach, but I may reconsider that based on your recommendations. In any event, you have given me a number of ideas for improving performance. The web scene is indeed filled with a bunch of data not shown in that simulation. The other layers are to be used in other parts of the story. I was trying to limit the number of distinct scenes I needed to create by putting all of the layers in the same scene but it sounds like that may be problematic. Thanks again!

Hi Owen, Sorry about the delay in responding. I’m actually working on this during weekends which is why it sometimes takes me a week to respond. The ID of the scene is https://chesbay.maps.arcgis.com/home/webscene/viewer.html?webscene=5c27079fdd964a42beb3d7a46674656c#<https://chesbay.maps.arcgis.com/home/webscene/viewer.html?webscene=5c27079fdd964a42beb3d7a46674656c> I run into problems when I insert a scene as a “map”. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. However, it looks like if I embed the scene (as opposed to inserting it as a map) I may get much closer to the functionality that will meet my needs. As I’m then basically interacting with the slides within the scene, as opposed to using the slide functionality of the sidecar template. The story map is here - https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/707baabadac34f2bba1541629abadfd8. The first sidecar is just a progression of images. I was trying to replicate the appearance of that progression using the slide functionality of sidecar (so the sidecar panels would be interactive) while inserting scenes as maps. That gets bogged down for me pretty quickly if I have more than 3 or 4 slides of different views within the same scene. But again – it may be that embed will work. Having said that -- I’m not sure if that is the desired behavior of the ArcGIS Story Map sidecar functionality (embedding scenes as opposed to inserting them as maps). Thanks again, John

Hello, I am trying to use the sidecar within an ArcGIS Story Map, with the main content of the panel changing based on slides set in an accompanying web scene. Unfortunately, the template doesn't seem to recognize the slides. I assumed this was a standard feature for the "new" story maps but perhaps it doesn't work with web scenes (???). I just wanted to confirm that was the case before abandoning it and going back with one of the classic story map templates. Any insights would be appreciated!
