I'm trying to map out a correlation between two substances using polygon fill to denote one substance and the outline color to denote the second. I have been told that it is possible to set ArcMap so that the polygon outlines only draw on the inside of their polygons to prevent the outlines from overlapping. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

I'm wrapping up a workshop project on state plane coordinate systems. The end result requires me to be able to plot both the natural origin and the false origins of a state for all it's different coordinate systems. These have to be plotted visibly as well as all the necessary meridians and/or parallels for each state section. I've been trying to accomplish this with the grids feature of the arc map data frames, but so far I have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have any suggestions that I might be able to try in order complete this?

I am working on a class project with a group which involves surface modeling. We are attempting to recreate what a strip mined area would look like if it had not been mined. It was recommeded that we convert the cut-out raster to point first. We did this but as a side effect, the edge points have made our mined areas smaller. We have been trying to remove the outermost edge points befpre running the surface modeling tool, but have been unable to do so. Does anyone have any recomendations on how to remove these points or a better method of surface modeling?
