Thank you, I appreciate the help. I'll give this a try when I get the chance. I found a workaround that I used, but I was still trying to figure out why my original method didn't work. Either way, I'm going to mark that as the accepted solution. Thanks

Hello, so I was following this How To (How To: Convert slopes with a certain range of slope degree from a DEM file to a polygon feature class in ArcGIS Pro (esri.com) which I had done a few times at this point since I was working with a number of different areas. When finishing the area, I was taking the slope and merging it into a single feature to clip it against another feature. When attempting to merge this later layer, I ran into the following error: "Merge Features Failed. The spatial index grid size is invalid [Feature name]." Thinking this could be resolved, I then recalculated the spatial index in the catalog menu, and tried again. Same error. I tried deleting the spatial index and trying again. Same error. I went out and tried to recalculate the spatial index through the geoprocess, which worked, but when I attempted a merge, I got the same error. I tried to use the tool: Recalculate Feature Class Extent, but I got a new error : ERROR 160706: Cannot acquire a lock. The file is in a File Geodatabase just like the previous attempts. The merge function works without errors in certain small areas of the project extent on the same file, it just can't be used on any meaningfully large section or in any predictable way for the smaller sections.

When you edit the symbology of a line, you can select from the preset styles, downloaded styles, or your custom styles. When you try to change the line symbol during layout, for things like a layout border, scalebar, or chart frame, you can't easily select those options. I would like to know how to add (Or find if I'm missing it) a gallery option when selecting those lines or maybe a style option like on the compass. If that's impossible, could we see if that is possible to add as an option?

I also thought this would solve his problem, but I looked at the image again and it appears that that his image also includes his attribute table at the bottom. There's only one feature in his attribute table. I had a similar problem that I wasn't able to solve on a map of the United Kingdom. I assumed mine had something to do with the style I was using. The fact that he only has one feature makes it unlikely to be fixed by changing border colors as well and his map seems be the base style, so while I don't have a solution, I do wonder why this is the case.

Ok, so this was solved by clearing up spaces in directory files. ArcMap/Archydro seems to uniformly fail if the file directory has a space. I also had to update the temporary directory to point at a location without a space in the name. The final product was a failed Line Raster which is a different problem. It's producing now, but not producing something usable. I'll mark this as answered If anyone is looking for the steps I took to resolve this, then follow the remainder of the comments.

I'm still running into an odd error. I've moved the files into the c-drive for compatibility and removed spaces in the file directory, but am getting a 010217 error and a failure to execute code. Any ideas? (I'm continuing to reply to my own topic because I don't want to spam the board with help requests and perhaps if I figure this out, it will be useful to someone, someday)

So, after getting advice, I did two things, I exported the files into a new mxd, which fixed one datum error. The other was caused by a z-coordinate system that had been applied (when, I'm not sure.) to one of the data sets. Changing those gave me zero datum errors, but the tool still failed to run saying only that the tool failed to create a line raster. I'm going to look into it further, but I'm not sure at the moment what the issue is.

I was looking at this to see if it could give me any insight into my own error. (I'm having a strange problem with raster output in flood plain delineation.) While looking it up, I saw this thread: https://community.esri.com/thread/102706 Maybe that could help you? At the very least, the top comment lists an email address that you could send an email too. If I get the chance, I'll try to run through an attempt with the tool and see if I can at least duplicate the problem. I'm wondering if there's a compatibility issue with ArcMap 10.6.1, but right now, that's only a suspicion.

Hello, I'm working on mapping a flood plain in a flood prone area. I have collected the data necessary (DEM, river feature, and gauge data), compiled it into a TimeSeries table, snapped the gauges to the line, and ran the Stream WSE from Point tool. The tool ran fine, I believe, however, the Line Raster did not appear in my catalog view. I found the file saved in another folder through the Results tool and uploaded it. Something must have went wrong, because it had to reconstruct pyramids and then showed everything as the exact same value. Obviously, this isn't correct, so where did I go wrong? In addition, I'm interested in figuring out how to make the Flood Plain Delineation from gauge point using two gauges on the same river if anyone can advise me on that subject as well, it would be much appreciated. If it helps, I came to work on this from this page: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/product/analytics/floodplain-delineation-using-only-arc-hydro-models/?rmedium=… and Floodplain delineation using ArcHydro models for multiple gauge stations – Problems and Solutions The Collett document at the bottom was particularly helpful. thanks for any help you can provide. Additional information from further work: I'm not sure this was always the error code, but I'm getting "WARNING 001003: Datum conflict between input and output." I've checked the different spatial reference systems and all the same. What would I do to go about fixing this at this point? I'm really quite stuck and not sure where I went wrong. This is a cross-post from ArcHydro's page

Edit: I just had a thought, the river flows outside of the county at one point before coming back in (The DEM is county level) would that mess up the Line raster? Presumable it uses the original raster to create the line, correct?

I'm interested in creating a flood scenario for a rural county. I have DEM data for it, features for the 2 watersheds that cover the county, water features mapped, historic stream flow gauge data that I would like to use as a base for height, and was looking into using ArcHydro, but I can't quite figure it out. The documentation and tutorials for this type of thing is scattered, disorganized, and usually for out of date programs or, at best, the most recent ArcMap. The intention of the map is to create some potential flood scenario based on stream depths measured by flow gauges, and use those to determine where flooding will likely make roads impassable. Any help would be appreciated.

This was solved by creating a fishnet grid using the geoprocessing tool and then running an intersect feature tool. I ran a few other tools to clean up the duplicate features that were created and then made the index in Excel.

Hello, is it possible in ArcGIS Pro to create an index of line features that exist within the confines of a grid section? I need the index to list the names of the features based upon their location in the grid. For example: A1: Feature 1,2,3 A2: Features 2,3,4 etc. I assume that this could be achieved by have the grid being a polygon and then having Pro count the instances of the line being within the confines of the polygon and then exporting those counts into a table, but I can't figure it out and I'm not capable of a custom solution. I had talked to a colleague and they had said that it was function that could be recreated through 3rd party tools in a combination of ArcMap and ArcView. If those tools are still available, could anyone direct me towards them and I'll grab those, but I would prefer an ArcGIS Pro solution since the map is already created there.
