I am using ArcGIS Cloud Builder 10.7.1 to build a site (with Single-tier deployment and Add Second Machine). When it comes to specify the names for two VMs, it doesn't allow two VM names over 14 chars long. What's funny is the default names are more than 14 chars long. It is obviously a bug. One VM name is 14 chars long is Azure limitation. Whoever wrote ACB didn't change the validation when more than one VM needs to be created. Has anybody else run into the bug? Not sure Esri is aware of it or working on a fix.

I wonder if there is a clear defined max somewhere in the doc. Thanks!

Hi all, I like to allow users to add data with more than 1000 records. Is there a way to increase the feature record count in the AddData widget? In the source code, the param in the widget is defined as maxRecordCount and passed into portal/sharing/rest/content/features/generate. The default is 1000. However, I tried changing the params in the javascript code (as below) but I am still getting 1000 feature records in the generated layer. I don't see any setting to override on portal/sharing/rest/content/features/generate. maxRecordCount: -1, //9000, this.maxRecordCount, enforceInputFileSizeLimit: false, //true, enforceOutputJsonSizeLimit: false //true Considerations and Limitations—ArcGIS REST API: Users, groups, and content | ArcGIS for Developers doesn't mention 1000 max records. Thanks,

Hi all, I am running a print error when printing a map with layers hosted on the federated self-signed arcgis server. My Portal (10.6.1) is federated with ArcGIS Server (10.6.1) within a company intranet. Both are on self-signed SSL certificates. A map is published by ArcGIS Pro to create both a map service and feature services for individual layers. When trying to print a map with the published layers, an error came back saying Error executing tool. Export Web Map Task: Failed to create layer from service at https://ags-server.company.local/arcgis/rest/services/SomeService/FeatureServer/1 If I unchecked those layers, the print service ran successfully. The print service is shared and the service URLs are not broken from both portal and ArcGIS server. My guess is the self-signed certificate caused the print service to fail. Has anybody had this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

Found the errors in Portal log about the certificate of the external map service. Its certificate is valid on web browser. The only thing I noticed is a wildcard for their domain. Is that the cause? Invalid SSL certificate found. PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Yes I did see the radio buttons to store the credentials on the web UI. The checkUrl returns 200. There is one thing I am a little confused with. Why is "secured" false even when both our portal and the external service on HTTPS. { "secured": false, "httpStatusCode": 200, "httpStatusMessage": "HTTP/1.1 200 OK", "httpResponse": "", "url": "https://geodata-services.drillinginfo.com/arcgis/rest/services/" } The secured service resides out of our corp network. completely external.

I found this older post with the similar problem. Error storing credentials on secured service in AGOL 502 Bad Gateway The service provider's SSL certificate is verified. And the Portal IIS is set ignore client certificate. There must be other causes.

Jeff, yes, my script includes the 'serviceUsername' and 'servicePassword' parameters with the credential supplied by the service provider. I also manually added one of the secure map services on web UI as a test. The login was prompted and the map service added successfully. The portal item link did take me the external map service. However, next morning or later that afternoon when I clicked on either of map services (manually added or with my script), the error page appeared (<portal host name> currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 502). The map service is directly accessible with the supplied credential. Even with the credential saved, for some reason the Portal fails to obtain a new token. If I opened the Edit page on ANY of the portal items and entered the username and password and save it, then ALL portal item links (to the secure map services) would work right away. But the error appears again after a while. I haven't figured out exactly when the portal item link stops working. My guess is it goes bad as the token expires.

I am using Portal REST API to add a bunch of secure map services to Portal (10.4.1). Right after those services added, their portal links works fine. After a while, clicking the same link would get an error page saying something like portal can't work on this content item (502 Bad Gateway). When I manually enter the credential on the Edit page, the same link would work again. And then the error occurred again. My guess is Portal doesn't seem able to save the specified credential with the new items so the link failed when a token expires. In the REST API reference, there is no specific parameter to get Portal to save or not to save credential. Help appreciated!

My widget does a search and then displays the search results on one of a tab in AttributeTable. In one circumstance I noticed AttributeTable doesn't display new content. My users have to click the Refresh button to see the new content. This circumstance is when AttributeTable is showing, and the tab is selected and Filter By Map Content is off. I would expect AttributeTable to refresh the content in that case. Has anybody else run into this issue? I think it's a bug. Here is how I made it to work for me. Please reply if there is a better way to do this. Thanks! AttributeTable - Widget.js - Line 858 (It seems working with Filter By Map Content on / off) if (this.showing && infoId === this.tabContainer.selectedChildWidget.paneId) { var currentTable = this._resourceManager.getCurrentTable(infoId); if (currentTable) { currentTable.refresh(); } } else { this.onOpen(); // this.tabContainer.selectChild(page); }

My app loads one of map services containing vector and raster layers. When identifying on a map, users expect to see query results from all visible vector layers in a data grid. In my case, all raster layers should be ignored because of no attribute data. So when I looped through all visible layer IDs and run query tasks on each of them, I didn't see any API function or class gave info about the layer properties (such as Geometry Type or Fields, basically whatever returns from hitting a layer url in a browser). Such properties appear only with a query result. Surely a simple xhr request would return all layer info. But that's another series of another roundtrips to the server. Or maybe I missed something hidden deep in API docs. I don't think my use case of identifying all layers is unique or peculiar. What's Esri's arugment for API not exposing or packing the complete layer properites when loading them into the Map instance? However, it already exposes some of properties such as Definition at the service level as an array, and Default Visibility and Max/Min Scale in individual LayerInfos. A bit strange, isn't it?

Thank you. I will check with my IT about the NAS config and test it with another storage. My service was published with no issue. The service has only two layers and responds to non-cache map requests very fast. All config-store and directories are on the same NAS. If it was related to the server ports or the storage permission, it would affect the dynamic map generation as well. I just want to clarify that.
