ArcGIS Pro 3.1.2 - data stored on network drive. In the Trace Network (not utility network) I have added barriers onto the NHDFlowlines manually using the Add features tool in the Trace Locations Pane. When I right click on any barrier in the list and click on flash, pan, pop-up, zoom, select, or unselect, nothing happens. Any ideas?

I am finding that when I convert the Geometric Network to Trace Network in a fresh, unaltered download of an NHD HU 8 gdb, and then run Enable Network Topology, there are dirty areas which cause the trace to fail (unless I uncheck Validate Consistency). Upon examination, I cannot understand what makes it a dirty area. There should not be any topology errors in the NHD, right? I am trying to understand is this is an ArcGIS problem, an NHD problem, or just user error. Have you experienced this @curtvprice?

USGS provides an "NHD Merge" tool in its NHD Utilities download, but the drawback is that it only works in ArcMap 10.7.1., so you could do the merge in Arc Map and then import back into Pro. Not the most elegant solution, but it might work. Caveat: it will leave out the HU2 and HU6 WBD feature classes. https://www.usgs.gov/core-science-systems/ngp/national-hydrography/tools#Utilities You can contact the USGS NHD folks directly at nhd@usgs.gov ; they may have other ideas for you.

I also need to see the modified date of the contents of the file geodatabases, not just the geodatabase.

Thank you Dawn! I agree that we all could do a better job of communicating our work; and an important part of communication is listening and empathy. Makes me think of something I heard on National Public Radio recently; http://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2017/06/04/531271710/alan-aldas-experiment-helping-scientists-learn-to-talk-to-the-rest-of-us "Alan Alda is an acclaimed actor, director, and writer with a lifelong passion for science. As a Visiting Professor in Stony Brook University’s School of Journalism, he is a founding member of the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science and a leading national advocate for educating young scientists to connect better with the public." (https://www.suny.edu/sunycon/2015/speakers/alan-alda/) Maybe you could invite him to speak at next year's UC?
