Thanks for the advice. I will try this when I have the time. Unfortunately this will have to involve my IT department. ESRI could have avoided all this with a simple warning prior to upgrading. sigh.

I am having the exact same issues as the original poster. I have read about and installed the necessary drivers based on this: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/excel/prepare-to-work-with-excel-in-arcgis-pro.htm I have even done the silent install of the 32 bit Access driver(I have ArcMap 10.x on the same machine even though my Office is 64 bit.) I also have the 64 bit Access driver installed. I have both the .Net drivers installed. I've rebooted and still cannot load an Excel file into a project in ArcPro 3.02 My only hesitation is that the directions say that you need to install these things "prior" to installing ArcGIS 3.0. If this is true, then do I have to uninstall 3.0 and then reinstall??? Who on earth is going to know to do this??? This just seems like a colossal mess-up. There should have been stern warnings before installing ArcPro 3 that these needed to be installed. Most people will just install the update from directly from ArcPro without knowing that they are in a world of hurt if they use Excel files in any capacity.

Thanks Thomas, I didn't build the locator but I'm sure it was made in an older ArcMap environment and after reading the link that you supplied, it seems that it's not compatible with ArcPro 3.0. Thanks, I will inform the city that they need to provide some updated locators. Jeff

Brad, The locator is on my city's Enterprise server. I don't know what version they're running. I belong to a different quasi-government utility organization, so we run different versions of Enterprise most likely. Anyway, it is a composite locator which has worked fine in ArcPro 2.9 and previous versions, it just doesn't work in ArcPro 3.0. I don't know how it was created, but I assume in ArcGIS Desktop. Sorry, but I don't know more about it. I can possibly send you a direct link to the server if you wish to try. It's not password protected as far as I know but I don't want to post it publicly.

Update: The 4.5 hour geocode process has finished but not one record was actually geolocated! I then used the exact same table with the exact same locator file in ArcMap 6.2.1 and it geocoded in less than 4 minutes with no issues. sigh.

Every month I geocode a large table, about 133k records, but it typically only takes a few minutes to geocode them with my city's locator file. After upgrading to ArcPro 3.0, it now takes 4.5 hours! Is anyone else having geocoding issues in ArcPro 3.0?? I've checked my CPU in task manager and it is barely hitting 5% while geocoding. (see screen shot)

@DrewFlater This is good news. Does ArcGIS Pro 3.0 have a planned release date yet? Where can I find info about planned upcoming releases? Thanks.

I would also love the ability to use a filter within the URL string.

Brian, thanks for this. I had noticed this issue too and it is very annoying. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update.

This can be done in the picklist where you choose the unique field to attibute. Just choose New Expression which can be found at the bottome of the picklist (see attached) screenshot. Arcade is a scripting language not too different than VB script. You can select two fields in the expression builder and put a concatinator in between the fields. The problem I'm having is that now the OPTIONS button does not let me customize the style symbol. I'm stuck with the default color circles that it gives me!

D. Visca, I have a similar situation to yours. I have a publically shared hoster layer that I don't want the public to edit. I was able to make a view of the layer, set it's share to public and reconfigure my map and app with that view. The original hosted layer was then set not to share publically. It all seems to work for me, the original hosted layer does not need to be public in order for the view to work publically. If you like I can help test it. What's the URL of your app?

I didn't read your question carefully enough the first time. I think Robert is correct: All parts of the app/map need to be publically shared. Since the Layer View only references the original layer, they both have to be publically shared. However, I see your frustration, because in the Layer View text box it explicitly says a layer view will "allow you to independently set how it’s shared with others".
