It would be useful to be able to limit which scale levels are available in an Operations Dashboard application (similar to the functionality available in a web app builder template). This would be very useful when displaying public facing dashboards containing semi-sensitive information – where the exact location of a point would ideally not be shown past a certain scale. A couple examples of this where this would be useful in my experience are when displaying electric outages to the meter, or bylaw infractions to the address. In these cases, we would like to show the location on the map but only make this visible to the Neighbourhood level. It is confusing to the end user when the data disappears, but they can continue to zoom in further on the map.

Ok, thanks for the help! We are planning an upgrade to 10.3 in the near future so hopefully that solves it.

What browser are you using? If you are using Internet Explorer try updating your version. Since the last ArcGIS Online upgrade it requires a newer version of IE. I ran into this issue with an old machine running Windows XP. Since XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, you can not upgrade IE for XP past version 8. This will no longer work with ArcGIS Online. You can get around this by using Chrome or Firefox however, if you are trying to log into ArcGIS Online from ArcDesktop the only solution i could find was to upgrade my OS to Windows 7.

I have a feature class in a web service that includes a one to one join to a table based on a unique identifier. The feature class is symbolized based on some the data in the join table. This all displays as excepted in ArcGIS Online however, after configuring the popup I am getting results for all features in the feature class returned every time I click on a single feature. Has anyone else experienced this behavior and/or is there a work around or something I have missed?

Hey Marco, Thanks very much for the reply. This sounds great, however I see that this add-in has now been decommissioned. Is there newer version that I can download?

I was just wondering if there has been any consideration given to adding an option to allow the ability to edit data within Operations Dashboard? I am looking at setting up an Operations Dashboard for a Supervisor to monitor field edits from Collector. Ideally, I would like to give the Supervisor the ability to edit some of the attributes in Operations Dashboard rather than using it to monitor field operations and opening a separate web map to edit. For example: if something is flagged as 'Needs Attention' by staff in the field, this would pop up in an Opeartions Dashboard query. The Supervisor would then have the ability to assign a 'Work Order ID' and later change the attribute to 'Resolved'.

I had the exact same issue at 10.2.2 yesterday. Publish hosted feature service. Make a change to the mxd, then choose overwrite an existing service. Go back to the AGOL map and "map service is inaccessible or does not exist". I tried to replicate the problem today and it worked...

Does anyone have any suggestions for tracking Inspection IDs in a Collector environment? I am planning to create a hosted point feature class for inspections and I would like to include an Inspection ID field with Auto-Incrementing values.

This issue is also happening in ArcGIS Online web maps. When creating the web map if you 'add layer from web' and specify the rest url of a layer in an existing service it gives you the option to set visible extent. This seems to work until you save and reopen the map. At this point the map forgets the visible scale range which was specified and returns to the visible range in the service definition.

I was also attempting this method to host my geodatabase content on AGOL as I am working with 10.0. I experienced the same issue. As mentioned, if you are using 10.1 and up you have the option to 'share as' a hosted service. Unfortunately, at 10.0 this option is not available. I ended up installing 10.2 on a laptop specifically for this capability.

You can now upload a geodatabase and share it as a service, which allows you to view the data on the map. The problem I am experiencing now is that the service generated from the uploaded geodatabase does not honor the geodatabase domains... Does anyone have a solution for this? I guess this is not an issue for users at 10.1 and beyond as they can simply 'share as' from ArcDesktop. Unfortunately I am working with 10.0. Thanks in advance, Jordan
