Hi All, I have a Model that creates Delivery Routes based on ZipCode. After the routes are created and that ZipCode does not exist in an existing Route_Lines fc, then the Delivery Route based on ZipCode needs to be Appended into Route_Lines fc. I'm running into problems when I Calculate Value based on the Get Count function in ModelBuilder: The Append process does not execute because the precondition is false. I did a test run and deleted two zipcodes from the existing Route_Lines fc that appear first, and it still does not append. Please advise. Thank you in advance.

I'm in the same situation. All options and dropdowns in the Simplify Line tool are available except for the Tolerance input box. My co-worker and I are both using AG 10.2.1 but he has the input box. The work-around E Foster described does work albeit cumbersome. Maybe it'll be fixed when the software patch comes out.

You're right, Jay! I tried the Route solver and it was much easier. Thank you. Joe

Actually, I geocoded the From-addresses to a feature class named Origin_1 and To-addresses to a feature class named Dest_1. I'm using the Vehicle Routing Problem solver in NA, created a field called RouteID with unique numbers to match the ObjectID in the Origin_1 table, and did the same for the Dest_1 table. So far I've loaded the Depots using Origin_1 and before I load the Orders with Dest_1, I need to Add Item in Routes. That where the problem lies. Since I have to Add Item 10,000 times, I'd like to automate this process. I did a sample set of 20 records manually and it worked great. Is it possible to Add 10,000 Items automatically?

I have a table with From- and To- addresses. Let's say there are 10,000 records in the table and each record has to be a different route. These addresses have already been geocoded. I'm new to network analyst and linear referencing. I have access to StreetMaps Premium 2013 but have no idea how to utilize it in this scenario. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for responding. S Bhamidipati, I have several US States as my service area so manually digitizing the curves is not a viable option. D Wiens, the Copy Parallel option seems like it might work initially, however, it also would require manual manipulation. R Fairhurst, the Linear Referencing option looks to be the most automatic solution, albeit the most cumbersome. It does, however, look very promising. I will give it a go and will post my results accordingly. Thanks again everyone.

I have a point fc that have XY coords that represent a pair of From-To address ranges. I've used the Points-to-Line geoprocessing tool but that creates straight lines only. I'm interested in creating lines that follows a curvy or winding street centerline with a 12 ft. offset to the right. Any help would really cut down in cartographic and geoprocessing times. Thank you, Joe Primicias

Anthony, I did just that and it worked. Thank you. I now have multiple points with the same XY coords on top of each other with different z values. Now, I'm trying to create plume areas from those points. Any ideas? Thanks again. Joe

How do I display multiple z-value points that have the same XY coordinates? For example, I have soil borings (30') that have several measurements at different depths. I'd like to display the different concentration measurements per soil boring. Thanks, Joe P
