Are you trying to join multiple table rows to a single polygon? Is your desired output having that polygon duplicated in your output feature class; one copy of the polygon for each table record it was joined to? If so, we have accomplished this using "Make Query Table". That will create the query table in memory but you can export it out as a feature class.

Hi everyone, I used Create Locator in ArcGIS Pro to create a zip code locator using the ZIP role. My field mapping is just the ZIP field. I built the locator successfully. A couple questions: In the properties for Input fields there are a ton of extra fields that I don't need (Address, Address2, Address3, Neighborhood, City, Subregion, Region, PostalExt, CountryCode). Is there a way to remove these input field options? Since this is just a zip role, all these other fields are meaningless. When I publish this to Portal/ArcGIS Server, is there a way to limit the output fields? It is just a ZIP role yet the output fields have the full gamut of address part fields that are always going to be blank. Its a lot of clutter and confusion for users. When looking at the GeocodeServer page of the published locator, the fields have this long list of localizednames. Is there a way to remove them entirely and/or customize which localizations show up? Thank you Josh

Thank you Beth Romero. I figured this out after I posted. I guess I would ask that this be documented somewhere. The old app was updated to say Mature but no reason was given and there wasn't a link to the new app. Its not clear to me why this couldn't be a seamless update to the same configurable app id since it actually isn't a new template. Its confusing because unlike normal app deprecations, the template isn't really being deprecated, its the configuration set up. As far as I know it wasn't documented in the usual list of deprecated apps. As you noted, the launch blog post for the template was silently updated as well with no notification to users that a change was made. As a configurable app template user, its unclear how I am supposed to know that this change was made, where the new template is at, how to migrate the existing one, especially if the AGO org group hasn't been updated. As an AGO admin, its unclear how I am supposed to know when a configurable app was marked mature, why it was marked mature, what the recommended migration route is, and when and how frequently I should be refreshing the "share the Esri default configurable apps with group" setting. Thanks Josh

Portal and ArcGIS Online can store full metadata information for a layer. This includes field metadata like field descriptions. As a user, finding the field descriptions on a Portal/AGO layer requires clicking on Metadata and then navigating a confusing mess of metadata tabs and subtabs to find field descriptions. Meanwhile, Portal/AGO users can click on the "Data" and then "Fields" buttons on the layer page to quickly access a basic list of field names and field types. These data field information pages should include the field description information from the metadata so that users can quickly see and understand fields without needing to dig into complex layer metadata.

In AGO, if I go to create a Nearby or Zone lookup configurable app they are now marked mature. I have not seen any announcements about them being retired. Nearby was introduced less than a year ago (Introducing Nearby, a new Configurable App). Are they really being mature'd out of use? If so, what is the recommended replacement?

Hello, I am writing a python script to create a 2.5 locator using the Create Locator arcpy function. As part of this process I would like to be able to set the locator properties (especially "Geocoding options") through the script. These are the ones that are available when you right click on a locator in ArcPro. Is there a way to access these properties using ArcPy or ArcGIS Python api? I could probably have the script edit the .loc file directly but I was hoping there was a more "official" way. Thanks Josh

That worked. Thanks! A related theme question: In client\dist\themes\, there is a calcite theme folder but calcite does not appear as a theme option in experience builder. Is that a bug, or is that calcite folder used by other themes? Thanks Josh

Hi Yiwei, The "name" property matches. I've tried rerunning npm start on client several times with no luck. It seems to see the sample custom widget but not either theme. Thanks Josh

Hello, I am starting to explore creating a custom theme for Experience Builder Developer Edition. I am following the guide at Theme development | ArcGIS Experience Builder and have also tried the demo theme mentioned at Override theme variables | ArcGIS Experience Builder. In Experience Builder, when I go to the "Theme" section, my custom themes do not show up. Is there something else I need to do to get them to show up there? Thanks Josh

Just to follow up, I registered a folder as a data store and copied the locator there before publishing. I think it is now referencing that instead of copying to portal.

Hi Shana, Thanks for responding. Is your goal to overwrite or update an existing locator service with as little downtime?: I guess that would be the ultimate goal, but some downtime is okay since we could probably schedule a script to run overnight. Which version of ArcGIS Pro are you using?: 2.5 When the locator was shared to portal did you use a data store or was it just copied? The location of the locator depends on whether you used a data store or not.: I guess this gets to part of my question. I didn't know there was another option besides copied. The creation documentation doesn't mention anything about using a data store. and the share documentation only talks about sharing it as a hosted service which I assumed meant copied to server and the tool in ArcPro doesn't have a copy or reference data option like sharing a web layer. So if I create the locator in a location that is a registered data store folder, ArcPro/Portal will automatically reference instead of copy it when sharing? If a data store was not used the locator can be found here: .GeocodeServer\extracted\v101: Thank you Ultimately I would like to understand what the options are for publishing to portal and updating locators and what is the best practice recommendation for creating and updating them. Thanks Josh

I am new to using Portal and using the new Create Locator ArcPro tools. When using "Share a Locator" it publishes the locator as a hosted service. The Keep your locator up to date doc "Update a locator service" section says to copy the new locator into the correct server folder but does not say how to find the correct server folder. How do I find it? Thanks Josh
