Hi, I have a hosted feature layer in our ArcGIS Online organization that was uploaded with working subtypes and domains, but when I open the layer in ArcGIS Pro, the program does not recognize that it has Subtypes enabled which means the subdomains do not work. If I export the feature layer as a file geodatabase from ArcGIS Online, the layer is not recognized as having subtypes and the subdomains related to those subtypes also do not appear in the domains list. However, the Subtype and Subdomain behavior is working when editing the layer within Field Maps or the Map Viewer on ArcGIS Online. Where is the disconnect?

When attempting to open a map in the field maps app, I receive the following error: "Unable to open: cannot add null pointer to collection" What would this be referring to? The map includes editable feature layers with related records tables. The pop ups are configured to display the related records (which was a new feature added recently to the new map viewer in ArcGIS Online). I was trying out that new functionality for the popups in the map viewer and I don't know if this causes issues when opening the map in field maps.

@BradleyThompson1 An update regarding this: We were able to solve both sets of issues! Our IT simply changed some of the logic for the folder mapping as it related to the APPDATA for the users using ArcGIS Pro. It appears that the performance issues went away as soon as the program could access the user configuration files, etc. Thank you for the assistance and guidance for this issue!

@BradleyThompson1 Thank you for the detailed response! I will forward this to our IT folks and work with them to see if any of these recommendations are able to remedy some of the issues we were experiencing. I will post back here with the results when we have them.

@BradleyThompson1 #03150930 The support was very responsive; I just don't know if the technical issues we are seeing are easy to diagnose through general support as it seems to be an odd situation. When contacting support, I was hoping we could get an idea as to what we may be missing on our end or where our IT should be looking for a possible cause.

@Scott_Harris Typing %appdata% into File Explorer seems to go to a folder redirection to a user/appdata folder under an instance of my user living on our network. I had previously been looking at the appdata folder within the user folder on the C drive.

Our organization is recently experiencing an odd behavior with all installed instances of ArcGIS Pro. Sometime in the past couple of weeks, it was noticed that the ArcGIS Pro start page no longer was displaying any recent projects. No matter what a user does, the program does not retain any recent project history or setting configurations changed in the program settings options. Additionally, inputs through the user interface are resulting in significant hang-times: opening an empty project, closing the program, navigating to different sections of the settings menu. There is no performance issues related to analysis or data manipulation or map navigation...the only performance issues (in the form of hang-time) relate to just using various aspects of the program interface itself. We have gone through ESRI technical support through our Organization, but their conclusion to performance issues was to correct reported deficiencies in RAM and Dedicated Video RAM; however, ArcGIS Pro was running fine with the current resources we have set and the performance issues we are experiencing does not occur with any resource-intensive operations, just the program itself with or without any data or project loaded. We were unable to find anything that would have changed in our network environment that would have resulted in these issues. The program itself is installed locally on each workstation and the issues persists across software versions (3.0.0 was the version installed when the issues suddenly appeared and we have tried updating to 3.0.1 for no effect). I have also checked my personal ArcGIS Pro installation at home, signing in using my Organization credentials and have no issues...which suggests that the problem is specific to the computing environment at work, but we do not know what we should be looking for that could be causing this specific set of issues. Any insight or ideas into this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Is it possible to retain definition query settings for layers on a map based on the layout? I have a series of layouts that reference a single map that require changing the pre-defined definition query for several layers in order to match the content on the map to the desired layout mapframe extent. The intended result can be achieved by making copies of the map itself and defining the definition queries for the layers uniquely for each copy, but then that means any change that might need to be made to the contents of the map would need to be done for each individual copy of the map. I have specific layers on the map set up with 47 pre-defined definition queries that match up with a specific layout, so Layout 1 requires that Definition Query 1 be set for the specific layers on the map, then for Layout 2, the layers have to use Definition Query 2, etc. However, because the definition query settings are only controlled by the map, I have to manually go through each layer and set them to use the correct definition query for the layout I am currently working with each time that I want to export to PDF. A way to have the layouts retain the filtering settings configured on the map while working in each individual Layout would be amazing. I do not know if this is something that is possible or can be achieved with some scripting when trying to export each Layout to PDF?

Hi, I wanted to test out the ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unreal Engine and I was able to follow and complete the "Display a map (UI)" tutorial, but I was interested in the other samples available through github at this location: https://github.com/Esri/arcgis-maps-sdk-unreal-engine-samples However, when I try to launch the project I get the following message: "The following modules are missing or built with a different engine version: sample_project Would you like to rebuild them now Y/N?" and then the error: "sample_project could not be compiled. Try rebuilding from source manually." In step #3 of the instructions on the github page it alludes to how to remedy this error: "3. Launch the Unreal Engine project. Note if you are prompted that there is a version mismatch that can be ignored, but if the project needs to be re-compiled you will need to launch it thru Visual Studio" I cannot seem to figure out how to complete the re-compile and the link to follow doesn't seem to actually say how to do this. I eventually found my way to generating a VS project file by right-clicking on the "sample_project.uproject" file and choosing "Generate Visual Studio project files" Then going into that VS project file and trying the instructions here: https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.27/en-US/ProductionPipelines/DevelopmentSetup/CompilingProjects/ but when I try to rebuild the "sample_project" it outputs that it failed to rebuild. Are there any clearer instructions on how to remedy this? Thanks,

I have recently noticed that in the Pop-ups customization panel, the Fields list section for a layer I have that has several related tables displays all the fields from not only the layer itself, but all of its related tables. This behavior did not happen in the past and is not present in an existing map I made using the same layer and tables several months to a year ago. For example, the layer itself has only 13 fields; In the existing map, I only had 6 of the 13 enabled in the Fields List, so the section displays a count of "6/13 fields". However, when I add this layer and tables into a new map or look at the "Visualization" tab in the item page, the Fields list in the Pop-ups customization panel shows a count of "6/165 fields". Is there a reason I am seeing this behavior? Was something changed in the Map Viewer semi-recently that may have caused this? Having all these useless fields listed in the "select fields" list makes little sense. The layer has 8 related tables, so the "select fields" list exposes Global ID, Object ID, Edit tracking, etc fields for every table and the layer...

I am surprised this idea has not attracted a lot of attention. Just as @DanielNutsford1 described, the ability to accidentally click on the red x next to listed attachments in environments like the editor widget in a Web App Builder app or equivalent is dangerously high. There should be an option in the widget settings that allows you to check on/off the ability to edit attachments and ideally an extra step of having to confirm to delete an attachment in case one accidentally hits the red x.
