I'm using the ESRI World Street Map as my basemap tiled layer. Then I load our tiled layer next. This works just fine except our layer has 2 extra layers that allows a user to zoom into a parcel even more than ESRI's World Street Map. I can not zoom to the extra 2 levels when the ESRI World Street Map is the basemap layer. Any ideas? I'm using the V10.1.1 iOS SDK. Thanks, Jerry

I'm trying to check for Internet connectivity in my iOS app. I'm using the reachability class from Apple, but I want to check for Internet connectivity before layers are starting to be loaded. I'm checking at the beginning of 'viewdidload'. Checking at that point my layers are still going to try and load, creating multiple alert messages. I thought about checking in appdelegate before the mapview, but normally you dont want to put code in appdelegate. I like the ArcGis app how it checks before anything comes up and gives you a try again option. Any ideas on how there checking and at what point in the program? Any other suggestions would be great also! My app is based on 'Map Demo' which comes with the SDK. Thanks, Jerry

Hi Luca, I'm fairly new at this, but this is how I did mine. #pragma mark AGSQueryTaskDelegate
//results are returned
- (void)queryTask:(AGSQueryTask *)queryTask operation:(NSOperation *)op didExecuteWithFeatureSetResult:(AGSFeatureSet *)featureSet
{
if ([featureSet.features count] == 0)
{
UIAlertView *alertView = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:@"Error"
message:@"Address not Found"
delegate:nil
cancelButtonTitle:@"OK"
otherButtonTitles:nil];
[alertView show];
}
else
{
AGSGraphic *graphic = [featureSet.features objectAtIndex:0];
AGSMutablePoint *pt = [graphic.geometry.envelope.center mutableCopy];
AGSMutableEnvelope *env = [graphic.geometry.envelope mutableCopy];
if (featureSet.geometryType == AGSGeometryTypePoint)
{
NSLog(@"point type");
float xMin = pt.x - 150.0;
float yMin = pt.y - 150.0;
float xMax = pt.x + 150.0;
float yMax = pt.y + 150.0;
AGSSpatialReference *sref = graphic.geometry.envelope.spatialReference;
AGSEnvelope *envAlt = [AGSEnvelope envelopeWithXmin:xMin ymin:yMin xmax:xMax ymax:yMax spatialReference:sref];
[self.mapView zoomToEnvelope:envAlt animated:YES];
}
else
{
[env expandByFactor:1.3];
[self.mapView zoomToEnvelope:env animated:YES];
}
}
}

Hi Nimesh, I added ArcGIS.Framework and no change. So I removed it. I reinstalled AGSRuntimeSDKiOSv2.2, went into Xcode, loaded my project, compiled, and the linker error is gone. Everything works. Thanks, Jerry

After upgrading to V2.2 I'm getting the Mach-O linker error. I've followed all the steps to upgrade and compared with the MapView Demo settings. This is the error: ld: framework not found ArcGIS Command /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/clang failed with exit code 1 Does this mean the FrameworksSearchPath is not correct? I followed step 6 to add Framework Search paths - ${HOME}/Library/SDKs/ArcGIS [ATTACH=CONFIG]13269[/ATTACH]

Hi, I'm new at this, I'm trying to get envelope information from a AGSFeatureSet. My query works, it returns 1 object. I also used the returnGeometry = YES in my setup of the query. The problem I'm having is I cannot write the statement correctly to get the envelope information. My statement keeps giving me an error when I add .geometry. Here is the code: - (void)queryTask:(AGSQueryTask *)queryTask operation:(NSOperation *)op didExecuteWithFeatureSetResult:(AGSFeatureSet *)featureSet { AGSEnvelope *env = [((AGSFeatureSet*)[featureSet.features objectAtIndex:0]).geometry]; [self.mapView zoomToEnvelope:env animated:YES]; } Any help would be appreciated, Jerry
