Thanks for your reply. I had done a lot of research into the popups and could not see any way to do it, but, as a last resort thought I would post here in case I had missed something. It looks as if it can't be done easily.

I am interested in bringing text from Wikipedia and displaying it in a popup. (This is a map of the world and I want a country summary from Wikipedia to appear in a popup). I am able to get the text via the Wikipedia API reasonably successfully (eg "https://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&titles="+ CountryNameField +"&prop=extracts%7Cpageimages%7Cinfo&pithumbsize=400&inprop=url&redirects=&format=json&origin=*") however, I can only create a link to this text and not bring it in to the popup for display. If anyone can point me to information that will enable me to do that, I would appreciate it.

Great, Dan, that works perfectly. And I can see why you keep a text file on hand. I thought I was looking at tuples but I didn't think that it would be reasonable. Apparently it was. That has been a bit help in getting through the code I was stuck on. I can now use this to list the properties of feature classes in a folder of MXDs to a table with mimimal lines of code. Thank you.

I am attempting to put a 2-dimensional list of data into a numpy array for use with NumPyArrayToTable. If I create a array of strings like this: inarray = numpy.array( [ ('Route.mxd', 'False', 'Emirates_Route', 'route.shp', '0.0') ('Route.mxd', 'False', 'World Cities', 'cities', '50.0') ('Updated.mxd', 'True', 'Meter1', 'Meter1', '0.0') ('Updated.mxd', 'True', 'Meter1', 'Meter1', '0.0')],numpy.dtype(dts)) Then it converts perfectly into a numpy.array and then to an ArcGIS Table. The data-type string works perfectly: [('Map', '|S45'), ('RelativePath', '|S5'), ('LayerName', '|S35'), ('LayerFile', '|S85'), ('Scale', '|S15')] However when I create an list via looping and appending the strings in python (code below), I end up with an list/array like this: [ ['Route.mxd', 'False', 'Emirates_Route', 'route.shp', '0.0'], ['Route.mxd', 'False', 'World Cities', 'cities', '50.0'], ['Updated.mxd', 'True', 'Meter1', 'Meter1', '0.0'], ['Updated.mxd', 'True', 'Meter1', 'Meter1', '0.0']] This converts to a numpy.array with no problems, but when I use NumPyArrayToTable, it creates the 5 columns correctly, but puts all the data in the first column as: Route.mxd False Emirates_Route route.shp 0.0 Route.mxd False World Cities... I can see that these two data structures are being handled differently by numpy, however I don't know how to get the second into the same format as the first, which works perfectly. I have tried using asarray to convert the list to an array but this appears to duplicate everything and still leaves the square brackets. (I realise that numpy is not really meant for strings, but I am trying to code using it and this is just a theoretical exercise.) MyList.append([]) MyList[count].append(mapDoc.encode('UTF8')) MyList[count].append(relPaths.encode('UTF8')) MyList[count].append(lyrTitle.encode('UTF8')) MyList[count].append(sourceTitle.encode('UTF8')) MyList[count].append(theScale.encode('UTF8'))

HI all, I was a bit off-track with my previous question-the URL is correct. The problem seems to be coming down to the creation/saving of the zip file. I can see in the arcgis jobs folder on the Server that the data is correctly extracted. If I add a dummy output.zip file, then the URL created by the URL does work. https://maps.globalskm.com/arcgis/rest/directories/arcgisjobs/lor/extractlpdata_gpserver/je9dfabf8353c4a1382bff5c3a3ab4eb9/scratch/output.zip So my problem is that the zip file is not being created and saved, even though the messages that came through with the job say that it was successful. Any suggestions?

Plenty of questions have been asked about problems in downloading the output.zip file but I couldn't find any solutions particular to my problem. I would be happy for someone to point it out to me if I had missed it. Anyway, if not: The Flex Data Extract widget (out of the box) is working correctly up to the very end point when it requests somewhere to save the output.zip file. The output files to be zipped are being saved in the Arcgisjobs folder on the server: ...\arcgisserver\directories\arcgisjobs\lor\extractlpdata_gpserver\j638d8ad3a19a4d9e95a83752887dbcf0\scratch\scratch.gdb\output.zip\zipfolder When the output Save task is being called, it would appear from reading the passed data in Fiddler that the server is trying to work from here and I get an Invalid URL error. GET http://maps.xxx.com/arcgis/rest/directories/arcgisjobs/lor/extractlpdata_gpserver/j638d8ad3a19a4d9e95a83752887dbcf0/scratch/output.zip So somewhere along the line it is adding "rest" to the URL, and I am not sure where the "arcgis/rest" substitutes for "arcgisserver". ArcGIS server set up is not my area of expertise, so please bear with me if there is some information missing. The only other thing I can think of is whether these setting are correct in the ArcGIS server Manager -->Site -> Directories Jobs H:\arcgisserver\directories\arcgisjobs Output H:\arcgisserver\directories\arcgisoutput I would appreciate any ideas that may help me solve this problem. I have managed to get the feature service for the Collector task onto AGOL. I can add and edit features in a browser. But not having much luck on my iPhone. Two issues: 1. When I use "Create feature layer" from an existing feature layer service on my ArcGIS server (I have had no luck publishing the layer from ArcMap), it correctly brings over the domain information for the fields. If I try to update these on my iPhone it tells me it can't convert from nvarchar to integer, so it seems to be taking the text of the field's domain, and not converting it to the long integer required by the feature class. 2. When I try to go offline, it tries to download but then tells me that it can't connect to the server. Now because I am using a feature service from a 10.1 server, I have not been able to enable archiving (because versioning must be on for archiving to work in 10.1). Is that likely to be causing this problem? If so, is there any way to enable archiving on the feature layer from AGOL? Or is this likely to be something else entirely?

I have been through most of this Collector forum and I can't quite find an answer to a couple of simple (?) questions that I have. My company is still on 10.1 for Desktop and Servers. If I publish a Hosted Service on AGOL from my 10.1 desktop can this then be enabled at AGOL for offline editing in Collector? How easy is it to get the data back from the Hosted Service to my desktop? Short answers will be fine. I really just need to know if this can be done or not.
