Hi Rob, Thanks for your information. Did you run geocoding using ArcPad with own locator files? Regards, Jinfeng

Hi Henry, Thank you so much for your reply. I think I'll try the first option, manually insert a place holder image. But now I have a new question, when I inserted a image in Arcmap layout view, the resolution of the image became very poor no matter how clear the original image was. Is there a solution for this problem, please? Many thanks again. Regards, Jinfeng

Hello, Can anyone tell me if it is feasible to install ArcGIS 10 on a Netbook (e.g. Acer Aspire One AOD255E 2GB 250GB W7S) to perform some geocoding tasks in the field? We need to use/load our own locator files to do geocoding stuff. Many thanks, Jinfeng

the second topic) of this blog-post could be of interest to you. It tells you how to "create a thematic atlas with multiple pages specifying a different theme on each page", with sample python code. http://blogs.esri.com/Dev/blogs/arcgisdesktop/archive/2010/12/14/Combining-Data-Driven-Pages-with-Python-and-arcpy.mapping.aspx Thank you very much for the link. It is very much appreciated. Regards, Jinfeng

Hi Jinfeng, Have you looked into arcpy.mapping, the Python scripting module that allows you to update layers and automate PDF export? I suggest you start with this: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//00s300000032000000 and this blog post has links to a variety of great resources and samples: http://blogs.esri.com/dev/blogs/arcgisdesktop/archive/2010/09/24/getting-started-with-python-map-automation.aspx David Hi David, Thank you very much for the information.
