Whew! I just wrote a long rant essentially agreeing with Jonathan and explaining how this feature messed up my dashboard. But I realized I should scan the other replies first. THANK YOU so much for making this optional. My Dashboard is about to go live and I was panicking!

Has this feature been added? I can't modify the attribute table of the feature class I'm working on to do the workaround, but I would like to apply transparency to all 106 polygons at once. I suppose another workaround would be to have another feature class with a "transparency value" and use that joined value to apply transparency. I would prefer a cleaner solution as was available in ArcMap on the Layer Properties Display tab.

Thank you Jonathan! I didn't really understand how to use an action that would affect the text widget, but the message action on the Map with the framework as the target works pretty well! Though, it doesn't exactly replicate the indicator widget as I'm using it in my Dashboard. I have a somewhat irregular grid of 445 polygons (called quads in this instance) representing whale sightings. For each quad, there is a total of all whale sightings for each month of the year summed over a period of 24 years as well as the complete total (sum of all months) like this: Quad January February March ... Total 181 64 53 83 ... 4964 I have one indicator for each month. When one or more quads are selected, the main indicator number sums the values for all selected quadrants for that month. The Reference number sums over all quadrants for that month to show the totals for the month in the entire dataset. Here is a screenshot of what this looks like with quad 181 selected: When no quad is selected, the main indicator number shows the totals in the map extent for each month. In Experience Builder, I'm able recreate this to some extent with the message trigger on the Framework, but the totals (in the parentheses) change with map extent (as expected). For now, I'm going to stick with the Dashboard version because this is what the users are used to seeing, at least until I can figure out how to have both the total value regardless of extent and a total that gets filtered by the current map extent. I still haven't figured out the best way to make use of the "View for empty selection" in this context.

Yes! That worked, along with distributing the space vertically. I can do that for each of my 3 columns and it works beautifully. Thank you! Jen

I did something like this with a Dashboard a couple of years ago using the ArcGIS Online Assistant. I would walk you through it if I remembered how! But, this link describes the process: https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-copyclone-content-from-one-arcgis-online-organiz-000022252 Also, I don't know if this is applicable to your situation because it describes migrating between organizational accounts: https://sites.psu.edu/psugis/software/migrating-agol-content/ Jen

I am attempting to rebuild a dashboard using Experience Builder. On one side of the page, I placed a grid widget and chose the layout with 3 rows and 3 columns. I want to expand that so that I have 4 rows and 3 columns, so that each "cell" in the grid represents a month of the year (thus I need 12 cells). Is there any way to do this? I got around it by adding a second grid widget under the first and deleting the first two rows of the second grid widget, but getting everything aligned and looking decent is time consuming. Here is a screenshot of the 2 grids described above.

This is also what I want to accomplish. I would like to force the labels to always be visible. One workaround we came up with for our line dataset is to split the features into multiple features with a maximum size so that the labels will *mostly* be visible. It still doesn't make them visible always.

Grouping was my issue too - though not the layer but the symbols. I symbolized by unique values and then grouped two values together. I had to ungroup them to have them draw in the correct order.

Thanks for the tips! I downloaded Inkscape and used it to create an svg from an image (embedded in the svg). It works just fine, except the resulting image is too small. Here is the svg code related to the image size (which is the size of the embedded image): width="727" height="1374" viewBox="0 0 727 1374" I would like for it to fit the width of the form. Here is what it looks like on my phone (the Equipment Checklist): checklist

Thank you Jim! I was close - I had a "Launch now" button just as you suggested, but I didn't realize there is a readonly field. Also, I was trying to use an if statement in the calculation, rather than using the relevant field. Thanks so much! Very helpful.

I have created a form that we use for UAS missions. Before each flight, the user fills out the form which has questions related to the mission, including takeoff time - the time the drone is actually launched into the air. My form has a time question that populates a time attribute called "takeoff". When clicked on, the current time automatically comes up, but it allows the user to adjust it like so: I would love to be able to keep the user from adjusting this time and just accept the current time that comes up when the question is clicked on. Even better would be a way to click a checkbox called "Launch" or something similar that populates the takeoff time field with "now()". Any suggestions? I can keep it as is, but I've already had a user consistently mess this up (changing to AM when it is PM, putting the wrong time, etc.) Thanks!
