GSCUser85, thanks for the response. However, if you look closely at the docs, you'll notice the most important piece of a relationship class is missing: the key fields. We need the key fields for both primary and foreign keys.

Nope, never found a solution. As far as I know, it's still an "enhancement request". Haven't tested at 10.2, so I don't know if it's been fixed there.

I know this is an old thread, but can anyone provide an updated status on this "enhancement"? NIM048192 I'm trying to write a python script that copies feature classes and relationships across from one GDB to another. But without access to the KEY fields on the relationship, I can't recreate the relates...

I have a customer that is using Oracle 11.2.0.3.0. They have just upgraded to ArcGIS 10.1 SP1, using Direct Connect (no SDE application service). They are still using Long Raw data storage for most of their classes, and we want to migrate them to ST_GEOMETRY. When I run the MigrateStorage tool, it fails with the following: ERROR 000955: Error encountered migrating the database storage Not Supported on a view [GIS.CITY_ALL] Failed to execute (MigrateStorage). However, this feature class is NOT a view. I have double checked several times... The MigrateStorage tool worked well on several other feature classes, but dies on more than half with this same error message. Have tried thru Python script and interactively thru Catalog. Help?

I have created a web map in AGOL. Everything works fine. But I am trying to set up the "Maps and Apps Gallery", which wants a thumbnail of my web map. So when I go into the properties of the webmap, change the thumbnail, and hit Save, it just hangs. I have tried both Firefox and IE9 from two different machines.

I am trying to customize the Tax Parcel Viewer app. I have been able to plug in our parcel data, and the search works fine. The problem I'm having is the basemap. I want to replace one of the samples with our own map service. My config.js file is shown below. When using the imageryMap basemap, it works fine. When using my own landbaseMap, the background never draws. The search still works, and I can select a parcel in the results. It will zoom to that parcel, and highlight the actual parcel, but no background data ever draws. I can add my landbaseMap service to ArcMap, and it draws fine. If I view it in teh MapServer?f=jsapi, it draws fine. Is there something special that needs to be done with BaseMapLayers? Thanks! Is there no easy way to present a modal dialog box asking the user for input when they hit a button using a python add-in? This was basic functionality in VBA in ArcGIS 8.0. My client has a custom toolbar with 10 buttons on it, each representing a different type of "search". When the user clicks a button, it presents a modal dialog box, asking for the "search item", such as PIN, ADDRESS, POLE_ID, etc. My client would prefer this all be written in python for maintenance reasons, but it sounds like Python can't do this simple task...

I'm stuck on this same concept. Any resolution here? All I want to do is be able to provide a text input box to the user. For example, I want the user to "Enter a PIN:". When they do, I search for that pin. Zoom to the selected feature. Buffer it by 100'. Select all the features in the buffer. Create mailing labels of all the features. Everything else is easy enough to do with a Python add-in, except Step 1: ASK THE USER FOR INPUT....

I am working on ArcGIS 10 SP4 with ArcSDE on SQL Server 2008 R2. Our data is using the SQL Server Geometry storage. When I try to enable archiving on any datasets, it gives me the attached error. The CHECK constraint on the Geometry column is simply checking that shape.srid = 11. Jeff
