Hello, Where should I store a mosaic dataset? File geodatabase or Enterprise geodatabase? Currently we have a stand along Image Server(9.3) without ArcGIS Server installed on it, and users load image services via the ArcMap image server client. I am migrating our ArcGIS 9.3 image services and I was planning on using a fIle geodatabase located on the same server as our ArcGIS server. I was then going to share these out as Image Services to distribute to our end users. We will be using ArcGIS 10.2.2. Thanks,

Try to recreate the feature service layer, and rename it at that point in the wizard. Did you right click on the feature service in catalog and click create feature service layer? Another issue I had was with edit templates. Before creating the feature service I had to start editing with the feature class in Arcmap and open the create features window.

Try renaming the layer file created to have only one period. I recall having issues with that earlier. In your screenshot I see two.

It looks like there is a bug, when using projections other than WGS 84. I am using "NAD_1983_CSRS_New_Brunswick_Stereographic". I zoom to the extent that I want the feature service to cover. Save my MXD, and publish as a feature service. Create my AXF file and link to this Feature Service using the steps outline in help I can create and upload data anywhere within the extent of the AXF file created Data is downloaded only for a portion of the extent. If I use WGS84, and the same steps I can upload/download data correctly everywhere within the extent of my project. Is this a known bug/issue? Will this be looked at, or are there any work arounds? I have to use "NAD_1983_CSRS_New_Brunswick_Stereographic", as we have a large library of raster data(100's of GB) that users can copy to their devices as base data. Thanks,

I am thinking that the Feature Service extent may be getting messed up when publishing it to ArcGIS online. This could be a combination of projection(NB DoubleStereo) and ArcGIS online, and the ArcPad functionality that only syncs data that is in a Feature service extent. Steps I followed. 1) Created an ArcMap project with two layers displayed to the extent of New Brunswick(Canada). 2) The mxd and source data was in NB dblstereographic 3) Shared the mxd as a service from ArcMap to ArcGIS online. (Turned of Tiled Map and turned on Feature Service) 4) Created an AXF from the mxd for the two layers to the datafram extent of the mxd 5) Created a feature service layer from the ArcGIS Hosted service 6) Ran the ArcPad Sync AXF/ URL tool 7) Can always edit and upload data from ArcPad to ArcGIS online from any part of New Brunswick. 😎 Edits in ArcGIS online are only recognized and synced for a certain area of New Brunswick. So this leads me to believe that the feature service extent is getting altered. How can I edit it? Or maybe it ins't possible to use NB Doublestereographic as a projection.

I see in the help that incremental downloads do not work for Hosted Feature Services. Does this mean that Full Downloads of the layer do work? I have tested and am successful in uploading data from different units, but no records get downloaded. I can upload records from Device A and Device B, but none of the records from A make it to B or vice versus. Thanks for the information. I ended up removing the service pack and was able to use the LAS files again.

Prior to installing service pack one I was able to create LAS datasets with some sample LAS files that I have. These LAS datasets still work. But I can't can't create another LAS dataset with the same LAS files. Is there a known issue with service pack 1 and LAS files? I have even tried removing a LAS file from an existing dataset and adding it back in, it is no longer recognized. All I get is an error message (one or more invalid or unsupported LAS files were ignored)

I had the same issue. I projected the feature class to web Mercator and was than able to see the layer. Although in the map document I had the coordinate system set, it did not seem to display correctly when I used a layer as a feature "MapServer/0".

We are using Image Server 9.3 sp1. It has been up and running for over a year and we have had no problems until recently. When the user clicks to add an Image Service in ArcMap, they see the list of potential services to add but all of the information describing the service is blank (ie. geographic_region;pixel_source;pixel_unit). Any idea how I can get this back? It still exists under service properties when an admin user goes to edit the image service. Thanks, Matt
