Thanks for your feedback. This makes sense and solves my issue. Cheers, Derek

Okay, I think I understand. Could I, for instance, use the "data-centric" widget in Experience Bilder on a map or within a Survey123 survey?

Thanks for the response and info. It makes sense to integrate with other apps such as Field Maps or a Web Map. I was hoping for the functionality to be able to add a selectable map feature to Survey123. Thanks, Derek

Hello, Is it possible to use a map survey question where the participant selects features on the survey question map and submits those features selected? For instance, selecting three buildings that meet specific criteria. If so, can you please let me know how to configure this? Thanks, Derek

I have an uploaded raster layer in ArcGIS Online as a Tile layer (hosted). I can see this layer fine in Map Vewer. However, there does not appear to be an identify or popup info function available. Is it it possible to configure a Tile layer (hosted) to have an identify function where the viewer clicks on the pixel and gets a pop-up of the value? Thanks, Derek

Thanks for this helpful response, Christine. It sounds like Survey123 is the way to go because we do need a public collection of data as survey takes we recruit, and they won't have an Esri account. We don't really need offline support per say as we will be near a wifi. One more follow-up question, if you don't mind: what is the distinction between Survey123 and Survey Connect?

Hello, I want to design a survey for respondents to complete on a tablet. It doesn't matter so much where the person is standing while taking the survey. Essentially, the survey will be a series of multiple choice questions (non-map) and then several map-based questions such as a circle or selecting the location (e.g., a building) based on the topic. Is field maps a good choice for this type of survey? Or should I be looking at some other Esri solution? If so, can you point me in the right direction? Thanks, Derek

It does occur to me that I could just create layers based on the different subselections and then use those separate layers in a layer picker in Experience Builder. Yes, this does make sense. But, I was wondering if there was a way to dynamically, e.g., w/ Arcade, create the alternative choropleth/shadings based on the subselections, which are a short set of categories.

I want to build an ArcGIS Web Map using the existing tools and features, such as Experience Builder and Filter Widget, for a specific use case. Use Case: I want to view a choropleth map shaded by a specific attribute value (which I know I can do in Map Viewer. However, I would also like to give the viewer the option to select a subcategory of another attribute to "filter" the map and view in the same experience an updated choropleth map as a result of their updated solution. My question is this: Is Experience Builder with filters the right choice for this use case? Or do I need to use Arcade or something along these lines? Thanks for any feedback. Derek

Hello, I am working through the following tutorial https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/experience-builder/mapping/try-the-filter-widget/ to learn more about how the filter works. However, is there a way to find the source of the example source data layer used? It is already styled and symbolized. I assume this styling and symbolization would be done outside of experience builder and in a web map layer definition. Thanks for any feedback. Derek

Hello, I just wanted to document this here in case others benefit from it. I learned there is a distinction between using Add Spatial Join and running the tool Spatial Join in the Geoprocessing tools. The latter allows for a one-to-many join operation or cardinality that works quite well for this case of a line crossing multiple polygons.

Hi, Dan. Thanks for always being here to answer my questions. So I tried, and these relationship types don't seem to be allowed. Next, I tried the intersect with a 25ft search radius, and it didn't make much of a difference in the test case I was looking at. So I increased the amount to 500ft, even slightly more than I needed. So, I think there is an ideal choice in the search radius. The polygons are a grid of 3280 x 3280 ft. When I choose 200 ft that works for my test case at least, but I am left wondering if there is a mathematical rule here? Thanks, Derek

Hello, I am joining a polygon layer to a line layer. It works for polygons where line segments cross entirely the polygon. But, it does not catch those polygons that the line starts or ends in. Any suggestions? I am using ArcGIS Pro Thanks, Derek
