I think i've been able to answer my own question with respect to question 1: You need to save the raster function then load it as a custom processing template. This way it applies to all scenes in the image service. However, this leads me to another question - how do I access the processed pixel values? I can adjust the stretch and coloring, but I cannot figure out how to identify on the map to retrieve processed pixel values - all that is returned to me in the popup is raw Landsat band values!

Hi, I am attempting to apply raster functions to the Landsat 8 imagery service hosted by ESRI and pulling from Amazon web storage. I am using ArcGIS Pro. I have set the Processing Template to "none" to gain access to the full range of the bands. I come from an image processing background but I am not used to ArcGIS Pro yet, and I am not used to using image services with raster functions. Question 1: if I apply a raster function to the image service, does it apply it to the full range of dates in the service? For example, if I make a raster function to do some band arithmetic and the user wants to look at different dates, will the band arithmetic function get applied to the other dates as they move the time slider? What I'm seeing is that after running the band arithmetic raster function I get a new raster layer that seems to be static in time. Question 2: I would like to run the apparent reflectance raster function in order to convert the imagery from radiance to reflectance. When I open the "apparent reflectance" raster function how do I have the tool pull from the imagery metadata for sun elevation? If I identify on the multispectral landsat imagery service I can see all the properties are listed, but the Apparent Reflectance tool seems to be expecting manual input of this value. If the raster function gets applied to the full range of dates in the service (see Question 1), this value will change for each image. thank you for any insights some of you might have. respectfully, Jeff Meyer

thank you Marco - what you said makes sense. I believe your analysis holds true if you have created a fresh new ArcGIS Pro project. I have encountered some inconsistency with imported MXDs, and file paths breaking after the APRX file is copied and pasted using windows explorer. Perhaps this is to be expected. I appreciate your thorough analysis. Jeff

hi - I need to embed an app built with webappbuilder in an iframe. everything works fine except that in an iframe the & gets encodeded as & in the URL for instance, adding &find= to the end searches for a feature however, in an iframe the & gets encoded to & and ArcGIS online does not search for the feature. has anyone run into this? can you offer any ideas? thanks Jeff

Hi I've had a map up for about a year and it has been working fine. Recently the URL changed for one of my basemap layers - this basemap layer is hosted externally. When I got in to the launch the map viewer to update the basemap URL none of my layers are showing up. As expected, I get a popup saying the basemap can't be loaded so it'll use the default basemap, but then none of my layers show up and it reverts back to the default extent. It's like starting fresh from a brand new map. not good. I can launch the map fine in ArcGIS desktop, but it will not load in the ArcGIS online map viewer. http://camaps.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8eeaa01db6e64b2d914aec3c7bd2a4f4 jeff
