Hello, My question relates to the Utility Network Communication model. How can I implement the "Blown Fiber" workflow with the data model? Theoretically, I would first create the structural network from microduct casings and microducts, in which the microducts are connected up to the NIU. I would then do a downstream or upstream trace at the microduct level to determine the entire microduct path from the hub terminator to the NIU. I would then virtually blow my optical fiber into this microduct path. If I understand correctly, it is in general not possible to run a trace on the structure network, this is only possible for domain networks. Is my understanding of the Utility Network correct or is there a way to map the "Blown Fiber" workflow with the Communication data model? If anyone has any ideas on this, please let me know. Hello, I am trying to figure out how Utility Network Management handles existing associations when editing network data, especially when splitting associated objects. Please see the following example based on Electric Foundation V2 Solution: A cable is associated with three conduits (Image 1). The cable is split in two places, which automatically adjusts the associations. After the first split: Image 2 After the second split: Image 3 The new containment associations seem to be computed due to geometric intersections, among other things. I have the following questions about this: How does the Utility Network determine the adjusted associations after each of the two splits. Which parameters have influence on it and (how) can these parameters be influenced? Is it possible to configure the Utility Network in such a way that when a device is placed on a cable, the cable is automatically split at this position? Hello, I am trying to configure the current version of the Electric Utility Network Foundation Solution including the sample data in a local ArcGIS Enterprise for testing purposes. Accordingly, in the "Apply Asset Package" function, I check the "Load Data" option. The Utility Network is created correctly, but without data, unlike previous versions of the Solution. I want to define individual circuits in a meshed electric transmission network. Each circuit is formed by a series of connected cables that start at one substation and end at another substation. If two cables run (side by side) between these two substations, then they are two circuits. The station interior is not to be considered in the circuit creation, all circuits start and terminate outside stations. My idea is to form the circuits using the subnetwork functionality of the Utility Network. However, I am not able to make the circuits end at the relevant points unless I interrupt the electric flow by an open switch. In reality, however, the switches are not open, which means that the circuits are more of a theoretical definition. How do I have to configure my utility network resp. which object can I use to let a subnetwork deliberately end at a certain point in the network, independent of the switching state of the objects? Is this possible at all? Looking at Esri’s Electric Utility Network Foundation data, it seems to be possible, but I haven't figured out how yet. There is a specific situation in Esri's "Electric Utility Network Foundation" Solution which I don't understand. It seems that two busbar objects are connected to each other, the first one midspan to the second one, without a device or junction at the connection point. Any idea, how that works?   ... View more
