Hi Andy, Thanks, that's the one I was trying to follow but the layer visibility code isn't working in the sample.

Does anyone have an example of how to detect when a layer changes visibility? I'm trying to use the reactiveUtils but no luck. below is what I think should work and is in one of the reactiveUtils Samples but doesn't seem to work even in the sample. (it never triggers the callback function when i turn on and off layers). // Use reactiveUtils to check when a Collection has changed reactiveUtils.watch( () => [view.map.allLayers.forEach((layer) => layer.visible)], () => { console.log("layer visibiblity changed") let layerNames = ""; renderVisibleLayers(layerNames); } ); Or perhaps there is a better way to set up an event listener on all my layers for visibility? Thanks in advance. Jason.

Does the status indicator on the layerlist work with grouped layers? Here is one of the samples. I can't seem to get mine to work. https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/widgets-layerlist-actions/ Thanks. Jason.

I have a tool that trims stream polyline features based on polyline geometry derived from the freehand polygon draw tool. Basically it deletes and trims everything in the freehand polygon geometry. But I don't want to leave a stream polyline non-contiguous by deleting a chunk in the middle. Is there a way to check if a polyline geometry is contiguous? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a feature layer that I am making a selection on and on "selection-complete" I have a confirmation box to verify the correct selection but the feature selection graphic doesn't seem to be applied at this point. How would I wait for the selection graphic to be shown before I show the confirmation box? Thanks in advance for the help. Jason.

I'm trying to find some starter templates to use for an arcgis js API website, partly to not have to start from scratch but also to examine a completed site using best practices. In the past, I've started with one of the samples and expanded and modified it but I doubt that is the best method. I'm not using arcgis online and all of the templates I find are for arcgis online. Can those be modified for use with arcgis server rest services? Thank you for any help you can provide. Jason

I am using the editor widget with the template picker but i only have one layer and symbol so the labels are a bit superfluous. Is there any way to remove the labels? Thank you in advance.

I'm trying to use a left function in my where clause of my query to a rest service and can't seem to figure out the syntax. I can query the underlying sql database directly using the left function but not through the esri service. Is this possible? The documentation suggests that it is; "A where clause for the query. Any legal SQL where clause operating on the fields in the layer is allowed." tried: left([rid], 😎 = '14010002' left(rid, 😎 = '14010002' rid is a text field. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
