Thanks Darren! Thanks @Darren_Cook ! And I do have another question- in addition to the one state, I need some data for a few counties in other states. How do I go about getting those without purchasing a whole other state license? I am assuming that I can use credits to get that data, but can't seem to figure out how to do that using the Business Analyst extension in ArcGIS Pro. I searched for a tutorial or documentation on that and not having much luck.

I think I figured it out on my own. The state purchase is just the license but you have to install the full US dataset. The license file dictates what state/area you have access to.

There is no "choreography" transition - using fade or slow fade creates the choreograph effect. The trick is duplicating your map then setting the second step to the location you want to "dance" to - check out this article: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-storymaps/mapping/choreograph-your-maps-with-arcgis-storymaps/

Can anyone explain to me what the difference is between the downloadable US data for ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro and the state specific data I purchased with ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro bundle?

Well after further searching I did find the release notes / change log here: Change log — February 2024—Esri DemographicsGet Started | Documentation (arcgis.com) Appears that last year the ACS 2017-21 data were added in February, but that didn't happen for this year.

Anyone know what the schedule is for adding the latest ACS 5-year estimates to the Esri Demographics data packs? They are released each December so can we expect the 2018-2022 ACS data to show up soon?

Thank you!! This got me almost exactly what I needed. Just had to rewrite the out_dict to this: var out_dict = {
fields: [
{ name: 'Name', type: 'esriFieldTypeString' },
{ name: 'Score', type: 'esriFieldTypeDouble' }
],
geometryType: '',
features: result
}

Hello - I'm trying to list averages from featureset variables and display them in a list. My script runs in the ArcCade or "Data Expression" playground but when I try to use it for an element on my dashboard it shows a message "unable to execute script". What am I doing wrong? var p = 'https://xxxx.maps.arcgis.com/';
var itemId = '<layer id goes here>';
var fs = FeatureSetByPortalItem(Portal(p), itemId, 0, ['judgename','totalscore_stu1','totalscore_stu2','totalscore_stu3','totalscore_stu4','totalscore_stu5','totalscore_stu6'], false);
var scoreStu1 = Average(fs, 'totalscore_stu1');
var scoreStu2 = Average(fs, 'totalscore_stu2');
var scoreStu3 = Average(fs, 'totalscore_stu3');
var scoreStu4 = Average(fs, 'totalscore_stu4');
var scoreStu5 = Average(fs, 'totalscore_stu5');
var scoreStu6 = Average(fs, 'totalscore_stu6');
var result = [
{ "Name": "scoreStu1", "Score": scoreStu1 },
{ "Name": "scoreStu2", "Score": scoreStu2 },
{ "Name": "scoreStu3", "Score": scoreStu3 },
{ "Name": "scoreStu4", "Score": scoreStu4 },
{ "Name": "scoreStu5", "Score": scoreStu5 },
{ "Name": "scoreStu6", "Score": scoreStu6 }
];
return result; thanks in advance for any guidance!

Esri has a bunch of courses online you can take: https://www.esri.com/training/ Honestly, I took the Cartography MOOC to learn ArcGIS Pro and that got me started - then I just had to jump in and do it. The hardest part, of course, is knowing where to find everything. Generally, if you can do it in ArcMap, you can do it in Pro, so try doing as many projects as you can in Pro so you get experience and begin to learn the layout of Pro. I still find myself pulling up the Esri documentation to figure out how to do a certain task now and then, but that happens less and less these days. So, bottom line - sometimes you just have to jump into the deep end and start swimming! 🙂

@DougBrowning I am getting the following error when I try to run this script ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
AttributeError Traceback (most recent call last)

AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'username'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is it because I am not the form creator? I do have creator rights but I did not create the Survey123 form that I want to download attachments for.
