Hi, We have a Portal for ArcGIS multi machine installation configured with Data Store and federated AGS all at 10.5. Portal is secured using WIA and SAML and the Identity Provider configured to domain “A\”. This is currently working fine but we now have a situation that requires permissioning Portal content to a second domain “B\”. As we can only have one Identity Store defined in Portal I’ve been considering how we permission resources to two identity providers at the same time. This is complicated by the fact the trust relationship between the two domains is one way (B\ to A\ only and not A\ to B\). The plan would be to switch the existing Identity Provider to B\ and to then permission content using B\domain groups that contain A\ and B\ members. I’ve yet to test this but, even if it works, it means changing the Identity Provider on our production Portal site, which I can’t say I’m too excited about. Alternatively I could add a second portal and keep the domains separate or investigate the AddUsers utility but this this currently only adds users not domain groups. Hopefully that makes sense, apologies if it doesn’t but I wondered if anyone might be able to shed some light on approaches taken when authenticating Portal using multiple Identity Providers. Thanks for reading this anyway, any help would be much appreciated!

I have a csv and an associated hosted table published to ArcGIS Online which both need to be updated annually with two new fields that reflect data values for the latest year. I've successfully overwritten the hosted table using an updated csv that shares the same schema as the AGOL csv plus the addtional fields. Although this change to the schema is successfully reflected in the AGOL csv, I've then had to run the "Add to definition" operation using the admin service URL to reflect the additional fields in the hosted table. However, although this updates the hosted table schema, when I open the hosted table in a new map the new fields are empty. It seems like the schema I'm amending for the hosted table isn't mapping to the new fields in the corresponding csv. Am I missing something?

Hi Both, How do I add a copyright statement for a feature layer in ArcGIS Online that is then displayed on the map? Do I have to update the source data description and then publish to AGOL again? Thanks, James

I've successfully created an interactive filter in an AGOL web map and then created a web map application for that filter. I'd like the user to be able to select from a drop down list of unique values from the filter field in order to filter the map display and, although the filter is working, the user can only filter by manually adding text to a text box and then clicking the display button to filter the map. I should say I'm using the filter template and when you configure it there is an option to use a drop down for multiple filters but not for a single one. Does anyone know if I'm missing something or whether there's a more intuitive way of allowing the user to interact with a filter? Cheers, James

thanks for responding. I've since heard from our ESRI AGOL rep who has said that this is due to there being no table functionality in any of the templates - just in web maps. I agree with you that it is limiting and a bit annoying, especially as relates work in web maps just not in templates - a bit half baked. I've been asked to log this with support and I'll maybe add it to the ideas forum too.

Hi, I'm trying to use related records in a Web Mapping Application created in AGOL. I have a feature class of points, related table records (one-to-many) and a relationship class configured between the two. These have been published to AGOL and added to a new web map. In the web map the related records work well - when one of the points is selected the popup provides and link to view related records and then opens a table including those related records. My problem is that when I then publish this web map using the Basic Web Application template, the link on the popup is not available to Show Related Records. Does anyone know how to access and view the related records in a Web App? The documentation suggests that related tables can be configured for one to many relationships, but I can't figure out how to do it? All I can do is add the summarised attributes to a popup from the related table. Configure pop-ups—Help | ArcGIS Cheers, James
