Hello, I have been working on this application, (using the Javascript API), but I have encountered a slight problem. One of the widgets (Search Widget with multiple sources) doesn't seem to function, although it is present/visible (all of the other widgets seem to be working as intended). I see no errors in fiddler or console, but it definitely doesn't search.. I am not very proficient, and I was wondering if anybody might have any insight? I have attached the entire file (below) in the hopes that somebody might have the time to take a look. Thank you in advance. -James

Hi There Again. Still Very new to this stuff, so I apologize in advance if my questions have previously been answered else where. I have recently downloaded the esearch widget (uncompiled) and added it to my project in Adobe Flash Builder 4.7. I am using the api for flex 3.5, flex sdk 4.6, and esearch widget 3.5.3. I have added the esearch to widgets, added the mxml files to my flex modules list, and added the images to src.assets.images. I have configured the following bit of the eSearchWidget.xml, defining searches on two different layers of the same mapservice (I think) <layer> <token/> <definitionexpression></definitionexpression> <enableexport>true</enableexport> <name>Zoning</name> <url>http://*************/rest/services/Planning/MapServer/4</url> <expressions> <expression alias="Zoning" textsearchlabel="Search by Zoning:" isvaluerequired="true"> <values> <value prompt="Example: Rural Residential" userlist="Rural Residential,Commercial,Motor Business, Multiple Family Residential,Municipality,Single-Family Residential,Single-Family Residential (R-1), Suburban Residential" isvaluerequired="true" autosubmit="false" operator="AND"> upper(ZONE_TYPE) LIKE upper('%[value]%')</value> </values> </expression> </expressions> <graphicalsearchlabel>Use one of the graphical search tools to select Zoning</graphicalsearchlabel> <spatialsearchlayer>false</spatialsearchlayer> <titlefield>ZONING_TYPE</titlefield> <fields all="true" /> <links/> <zoomscale usegeometry="true" zoompercent="2"></zoomscale> <autoopendatagrid>false</autoopendatagrid> <queryattachments>false</queryattachments> <relates/> <symbology> <simplefillsymbol color="0xff0000" alpha="0.5"> <outline color="0xff0000" alpha="0.8" width="2" /> </simplefillsymbol> </symbology> </layer> <layer> <token/> <definitionexpression></definitionexpression> <enableexport>false</enableexport> <enableprintgrid title="Building Permits">true</enableprintgrid> <name>Building Permits</name> <url>http://***************/rest/services/Planning/MapServer/0</url> <expressions> <expression alias="Building Permit" textsearchlabel="Search Permits by Permit Number"> <values> <value prompt="Example: 2009-053" isvaluerequired="true" autosubmit="false">PERMIT_ = '[value]'</value> </values> </expression> </expressions> <graphicalsearchlabel>Use one of the graphical search tools to select Building Permits</graphicalsearchlabel> <spatialsearchlayer>false</spatialsearchlayer> <titlefield>PERMIT_</titlefield> <fields all="true" /> <links/> <zoomscale usegeometry="true" zoompercent="2"></zoomscale> <autoopendatagrid>false</autoopendatagrid> <queryattachments>false</queryattachments> <symbology> <simplemarkersymbol/> </symbology> </layer> The problem that I am having, is that only the first search appears in the eSearch widget when run, and the "layer" button drop down menu on the widget doesn't work. (Clicking on the Layer button produces a vertical line on the widget) Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong here? Thanks in advance. -James

I am working on an application that uses a single map service, which contains only my parcels layer. I have configured the locator in the Header Controller to use the map service for its search, and I am using a pop up on the Parcels layer to display info on click. I have disabled the info window on the locator, by commenting out the "infoWindowShow(resultPoint);" line located at line 499 of the GeocoderComponent.mxml, as indicated by this thread http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/92976-How-to-make-geocoder-pop-up-a-graphic-symbol-instead-of-an-InfoWindow?highlight=remove+pop Up to this point, everything seems to be working. when I use the locator, it zooms to my parcel which is highlighted as I want it, and the info window does not pop up. But if I click on the highlighted parcel, it opens both the locator info window and the info on click pop up. Is it possible to completely disable the info window so that it will not appear on a click? Or, alternatively, is it possible to configure the info window to show the same information as the info on click pop up (in the same format)? I have managed to get the Header Locator info window to display the required information, but I cannot get it to look the same as results in the info on click pop up. info window pop up on click as you can see from the top of the pop up window, both came up at the same time. Thanks a ton! -James

I am pretty new to the Flex API game, but I was wondering if it is possible to use an image as a skin for the header banner and widget containers, rather than solid colors or wireframe. Does anybody happen to have a decent fix on how to accomplish this if it possible? I am not interested in changing the size or functionality of anything, I just want to slap an image over the top rather than a solid color. Thank you in advance. James A
