I discovered this yesterday after posted that. The problem I had was that the "schema only for tables" is actually the opposite, it's a toggle button and it sucks. I also rebuilt those 10 records that were in the main feature class and now everything comes through perfectly!!!!!

Did you ever solve this issue? I too am having issues with missing features and tables that are completely empty. I have manually joined them up to check that the IDs were proper so I am not sure what this issue could be. I'm using 10.4.1 across the board and even tried an internal direct on the SDE itself checkout and was still missing the same records. I cleaned up the data and compressed the database and ran all the administration cleanup tools I can find. I am using SQL Server 2012.

I got it. I was going bigger and bigger thinking that was my issue but it was the opposite. I reduced my Illustrator artboard to 100x100 points and it solved the issue! yay!

I never thought about downsampling before! That was it! I started at 300x300 as my artboard size and it was apparently too big but I went to 6000x6000 thinking to go bigger. I just now reduced it to 100x100 and exported at medium 150 resolution and wow! That's what I wanted! Thanks Dan!

I should be able to create my symbols though.... ESRI can't have a symbol from everything out there. I'd really like to use mine because it's cute and I'm proud of my work.

there are no appropriate symbols for this map. It's for a new park and we have river access points that they want a person in a small boat and not the boat launch or a sailboat or a freighter.....

I custom made a symbol in Adobe Illustrator and have exported it to BMP, PNG, and JPG and even at killer resolutions and 200MB the quality of the symbol is terrible and pixelated. I even increased my Illustrator drawing to a very large size and tried that but it's not doing anything but make my drawing speed slow. I found a property under Appearance for quality and this helped but it's still not crystal clear like the ESRI symbols. 2 questions: Does Appearance quality setting effect the symbol on the actual print? What does it really do when I use Draft quality on the final product? How do I get a stunning custom symbol? the resolution issue is killing my map!

I also am having query problems in the last several versions of Pro. I queried the same layers multiple times on different days and versions and machines in both Pro and ArcMap and only ArcMap was correct! I have not seen a single definition query or select by attribute work properly!

ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 all the patches Windows 2008 R2 We have a service set up to perform a one-way replica and it was working before but now it seems to only be able to download when using an internal only URL. We need this for the outside public to use it but none of the various public versions of the REST URL are working! Does anyone else have this problem? What other things can I look at? It is clearly something to do with the URL but not sure what that means or how to fix it. With all the various URLs I can view the map services and interact so it's not like I got that wrong...

That is a great idea, however, I will keep it open as an option if I have to.

currently part of the data is dynamic and part of it is only nightly because they are migrating from an Access database and only parts have fully moved over. So assuming that soon it will be pretty dynamic, having it "live" is preferable. I have published several temporary event layers in map services from views built in Oracle and SQL Server databases and it has worked out well, a second or 2 delay, but it is well worth it and my users are ecstatic. Also, I do truncate and append my SDE with this data and all my other data sources nightly using FME so that my GIS users can have data to work with in their maps without needing to connect to 10 databases and sifting through tables like I have to.

I actually did try that but I got an error saying that it couldn't find the table. I can do this in FME and SSMS but not ArcGIS.

I tried registering a view in my SDE I made (that was not a function) and it was not an option available to me. Registering these views I am referring to in this post is definitely not an option because they are in non-SDE databases that I do not own or manage.

Just to be clear, that I am not referring to a SQL Function as in using a Count, Max, or Square Root. I am referring to a script of sorts called a Function that can perform a query on multiple tables and databases to produce a table of joined results just like any spatial or non spatial view or query layer. I was unable to even call the function in a query layer so that was not possible. Casting the function as a View in the database did allow me to blindly make query layers and feature classes out of them, but I was not able to load the view 'as is' because the load time was so long that the table just remained empty in ArcGIS, hence why I had to do it blind.
