Our users collect data of plant pests in traps which are placed inside the crop to stay there for several weeks or months. The traps are marked with an ID and revisited on a weekly basis. For the time being our users work paper-based and we plan to use Collector/Aurora to support them. The idea is to use NFC Tags to mark the traps because we believe them more resistant against weather and farming activities than QR or bar codes and are moreover re-usable. The user should read the custom URL encoded in the tag with his mobile device and Collector/Aurora is launched directly for data entry for this specific trap. Two questions: Do you plan to support NFC tag reading? Do you plan to extend the custom URL scheme to refer to a specific item in a layer similar to the URL parameters with WebApp Builder? Thanks a lot for your help Manfred

The same behaviour could be easily implemented by adding a Save as new button when viewing an entry. This would not require to populate the form and you could for example view the second-last entry, modify it and save it as a new one. Our users collect data on plant diseases and besides a numerical disease incidence, a 'tendency' (increasing, constant, decreasing) is given. Obviously, this tendency has an impact on the next assessment, so for the time being they have to check their last entry, memorise the tendencies (of up to six diseases!) and make a new entry. Modifying the last entry and Save as new would greatly facilitate the process.

Hi Scott, I too have this problem. Our organization (www.isip.de) works for the Governmental Agricultural Advisory Services in Germany and amongst others we are providing tools to collect field data on plant pests and diseases. Our use case is that the advisor for example monitors a field for a range of pests and needs to select one or more from a (pre-defined) list. We could add - let's say - five string fields (Pest1, Pest2,...) and connect them to a attribute domain. But this would either be 'overkill' when the advisors find only three and result in an angry phone call if he finds six. I dream of a checkbox list in the like of I know that Survey123 does support this but it lacks the feature of (a) editing existing data and (b) supporting related tables (a bug that had befallen Collector too [BUG-000097876] but was fixed there in the 10.4.1 release) both of which are mandatory to us Best wishes Manfred

Of course you could repeat the question, but this then is a static number (i.e. 10 items), which is either 'overkill' if I need only three or the user will call within the minute who needs eleven. I dream of a checkbox list in the like of Is there any option in using domain subtypes? Manfred EDIT: This question has been posed before: https://community.esri.com/thread/75429

Hi Carmel, thanks for your reply. Yes we did check Survey 123, but it lacks other for us necessary features: Editing of existing data Support of related tables The latter was also an issue in Collector (#BUG-000097876 - In Collector for ArcGIS (Android), when working offline, related records cannot be synced if the related records are added from a feature service referencing data in ArcGIS Data Store. The related record is created, but the GlobalID from the primary key is not copied to the GUID field. Therefore, the related record cannot be viewed as intended) which has been fixed in the 10.4.1 release of the Collector. Manfred

Hi, our organization is working for the agricultural advisory services in Germany and as such, we are providing the advisors with Collector and Portal for ArcGIS to collect field data on plant pests and diseases. We are frequently using string fields in the feature classes that are restricted to a list of items using domains. The user then is able to select one item from the list. Now we have the use case that the users want to select one or more items (i.e. multiselect) from the list. Does anyone come across the same use case and if yes, how did you solve it? Thanks in advance
