Micah, You actually are better off watching actual network traffic in a web browser developer console. That way you are looking at actual browser requests rather than the JavaScript source code, which may or may not get executed. You can always search the source code of URL's once you find them from within the network activity. You can also use a tool called Fiddler2 to monitor/watch web traffic. The URL https://tmservices1.esri.com/arcgis/rest/services/LiveFeeds/Wildfire_Activity/MapServer you found appears dead. The site appears to be using a web map with a hosted ArcGIS server feature layer (hence the reason you see this portion of url...https://services3.arcgis.com/T4QMspbfLg3qTGWY). Please mark my answer as correct if I have answered your original question.

Side note, I should have read your original post more carefully. I didn't see that you are trying to show a dialog from within a Web App builder widget..my reply was regarding a standard javascript app. Maybe it will still be helpful...

After taking a quick look, my initial guess is that you have a collision between widget ids. You have declared an html div element with the same widget id as the one that gets created for your dialog. Simple test, just change your id: 'myDialogId' to something like id: 'testId' var dialog = new Dialog({ title: 'dialog title', id: 'myDialogId', content: 'dialog content' }); <div title="dialog title" class="jimu-loading-shelter" id="myDialogId" widgetId="myDialogId"> Also, not sure what version of ArcGIS JS API you are using..but you shouldn't need to call .startup() or .placeAt(). Here is an example of a simple dialog I am using that loads the content from an "splash.html" file. //dojox "dojox/widget/DialogSimple" var myDialog = new DialogSimple({ id: "splashScreen", title: "About", class: "splash-dialog", href: "splash.html", executeScripts: true }); myDialog.show(); Simple contents of "splash.html" <body> <div style="width: 100%; height: 100%;"> <p>Content here</p> </div> </body>

For those who are interested, I just released my first ArcGIS Pro Add-in. Get it here: http://arcg.is/2nMXq4M Description Have you ever been working in ArcGIS Pro and you want to view (B) Bing Maps, (A) ArcGIS.com maps, (G) Google Maps, or OpenStreetmap (O)? Sure, you can add Esri imagery services directly into your ArcGIS Pro project. Depending on your data frame coordinates and network speeds, the imagery tiles can load pretty slow. Sometimes may also just want to view Bing Maps/Google Maps/OpenStreetMap but it can be a hassle to search or zoom to the same extent that you are currently viewing in ArcGIS Pro. This ArcGIS Pro Add-in tool allows you to click anywhere within a map frame to automatically launch a new web browser pointed towards Bing Maps, ArcGIS.com Maps, Google Maps , or OpenStreetMap. Each web mapping site link is pre-configured to display your map of choice, automatically zoomed to the geographic location that was clicked within the ArcGIS Pro map frame. Current Pre-configured Map Links Bing - Aerial Bing - Bird's Eye Bing - Road ArcGIS - Imagery w/Labels ArcGIS - Streets ArcGIS - Topographic Google - Hybrid Google - Road Google - Terrain Google Earth Web - 2D Google Earth Web - 3D OpenStreetMap - Cycle OpenStreetMap - Humanitarian OpenStreetMap - Standard OpenStreetMap - Transport

Thanks...I haven't worked on it recently. I believe I did notice this before. I am thinking a simple hack would be to switch the widget icon to an blank image. If I remember correctly, I was searching the UI components for a specific CSS tags that get injected by the WAB. Problem is the Esri seems to change them between templates and versions. I think the simplest way to handle it would be to switch the icon. It will still occupy space on the header controller...but oh well.

That's right, it's not supposed to be visible to the user. That's part of the changes I made to original when I forked it. I didn't want it sitting in a menu somewhere for a user to click it wondering what it was for. It's still logging to GA in the background. Does that make sense? I should update the README file in the repo...there really was nothing there from the original.

Bummer, okay. Sheesh, we are actually trying to use Google's service and they try to stop us. I understand, they are very very specific with what they allow. I ran into this once before with a different tool I developed to grab their imagery and automatically georeference it within ArcMap. I thought the web based Street View widget would be okay..guess again.

I haven't tested this on my end, but try pasting the fabric into a Feature Dataset within your SDE database. For some reason I feel like it's a requirement that the fabric resides within a feature dataset. Maybe you already tried this but based on your post it appears your were pasting into the root of your database. If this still doesn't work then it's most likely permissions within SQL server...
