I would like to thicken the border of the button on hover, just like the calcite buttons.

Hello, I am currently working inside the Elections Outreach solution's "Locate My Polling Place" app, and I am trying to implement a button inside the Introduction (info-content) window. I was able to create one with basic HTML, however, I would like to customize it further to replicate the hover and style behavior of a button and maybe add an icon. The purpose of the button is to make Spanish language availability more intuitive for members of the public that visit the app. However, I don't seem to be able to use custom CSS on the HTML inside the introduction window, or use calcite components. Is any of this possible? Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated. Thank you. https://www.arcgis.com/apps/instant/lookup/index.html?appid=0a1329c63d524841b1defe4429e92b50

I'd argue that a GISP, as with any professional certification, is just there to let potential employers that you can do GIS. However, it is fairly redundant in my personal experience. The reason being that any firm or government agency hiring GIS professionals will very likely test your knowledge as part of the interview process, regardless of your certifications. If you can prove to them that you know what they need, that should suffice. That said, if you want to get into GIS and have little to no knowledge, the process of learning and getting the certification will be very beneficial. But if you already know GIS, I'd focus your time and money on learning python/SQL/Arcade, ESRI certifications, or something more advanced like AWS certifications; since those would be far more attractive to a potential employer.

I have to agree with @MrRamonG. Based on my experience doing GIS in local government, a GIS Analyst should have all the basic abilities of a GIS Technician, which include editing abilities, basic terminology, and a good grasp of basic geoprocessing tools. But what differentiates a GIS Analyst from a Technician is their Problem-Solving abilities. I'd expect any analyst to be able to troubleshoot an issue, and have basic googling abilities to at least try to solve said problem. An analyst should also have basic communication skills, since you'll be solving problems for the users of your GIS products and services. Additionally, basic knowledge in python, SQL, and arcade are essential now. Being able to query and filter data, create conditional statements, and create new fields with existing data are part of your problem-solving tool set. If an analyst can create programs or notebooks, that is great, but ideally that should qualify you to be a GIS developer, not just an analyst.

Hello everyone, I'm using Survey123 Connect (version 3.11.123) to edit the 'Vaccine Experience Survey' form from the 'Coronavirus Vaccine Outreach' solution. I was successfully able to add and delete columns at least once and publish them before this error showed up. I saw a similar post suggest that I try using the web version to make these changes there. However, I don't believe that I can since this was created using Survey123 Connect. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-questions/error-400-unable-to-add-feature-service-layer-definition-while/td-p/862043 The post above suggests deleting the view layer. I am weary of doing this as I am afraid it could break the solution. Any suggestions for fixing this are welcomed. Thank you!
