I've created a simple model to create a TIN from a polyline shapefile. I've been running this model for several weeks with no issues. However, I came in yesterday, attempted to re-run the model and received the error "050035 No features were added to the TIN". Per instructions, I verified that both the TIN and the shapefile were using the same GCS and the shapefile had a height field (z-value) to be used by the TIN. I've gone through the model and have found no obvious issues. Any ideas as to why it would work one day and throw an error the next day when no changes have been made? Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I really appreciate the input. I may be using the wrong terminology when using the word "branch". I've attached a graphic showing a simplified form of the model in question. Again, I'd like to have all rasters go through branch 1, then all through branch 2, etc. Looks to me like models are fairly limited in this regard. The nested model idea may be the route to go. Thanks again.

I have several rasters I'm iterating. Each branch of the model determines the difference between the iterative rasters and a constant raster, takes that result and adds/subtracts a predetermined value (1,2,3, etc.) and then produces a shapefile based off of the result. As it is now, each iterative raster runs through branch 1, branch 2 , etc. and then the next raster runs through branch 1, branch 2, etc. I would like all iterative rasters to run through branch 1 and then all through branch 2, etc. Does this explanation help? Thanks.

Hello. With an iterative model (processing rasters) is there any way to force Model Builder to run all rasters through one branch before moving to the next branch? Thanks.

Hello. I'm new to Arc and have a question regarding if/then/else statements within model builder. If this post would be more appropriate in another forum, please let me know and I'll move it there. I'm currently using model builder to iterate calculations on multiple DEMs that produce elevation shapefiles based on those respective DEMs. However, the model bombs on the first iteration because it encounters a negative value. The calculation in question is: "%Raster%" - 12 What I'd like to do is add an if/then/else statement to determine if the value is less than 0 and, if so, skip to the next step in the model. If there is no way to make the model skip a step, then perhaps the if/then/else statement could be used to add and arbitrary value (ex: 200) to the raster. This would produce a shapefile that is noticeably too large and could be culled at the end of the process. Any ideas if either of these two options is viable, and if so, what the if/then/else statement should look like? Thanks in advance.

Hello. I'm attempting to use model builder to run iterations of a raster calculator routine. However, there are a couple of issues: 1. When I build the model and double-click the raster calculator portion of the flow chart, I get the old familiar map algebra window. However, at this point I'm unable to drag rasters from ArcCatalog into the map algebra window. I'm working around by opening raster calculator from ArcCatalog, configuring the algebra there and copying into the model builder instance. Any ideas why I can't drag rasters directly to the map algebra window opened via model builder? 2. The model will run properly the first time only. Subsequent runs display the following ouput: Executing (Raster Calculator): RasterCalculator ""%rasterout%" - "%dem.dem%"" C:\Images\rastermd Start Time: Wed Jun 22 17:53:45 2011 "%rasterout%" - "%dem.dem%" ERROR 000539: Error running expression: rcexec() <type 'exceptions.TypeError'>: unsupported operand type(s) for -: 'str' and 'str' Failed to execute (Raster Calculator). Failed at Wed Jun 22 17:53:45 2011 (Elapsed Time: 0.00 seconds) Once again, any ideas? The exact same setup will run flawlessly when I run the raster calculator directly from ArcCatalog. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
