I have a scene in Portal for ArcGIS, and need to publish it through an iframe at a site with different domain, so I am stuck in the situation described above. I tried to tweak iis, no luck... If anyone has done this, please enlighten the rest of us.

Did you ever find out what caused it in your case? I am stuck on this for weeks now...

Hello all, I need to programmatically hide the Attribute Table in ArcMap. When the table is open while performing attribute editing with arcobjects the process gets significantly delayed. I guess that's something simple, like var uid = new UIDClass() { Value = "<Attribute table Uid Value>" }; var window = ArcMap.DockableWindowManager.GetDockableWindow(uid); window.Show(false); The thing is I cannot find this Uid Value. I suppose all I need is an extensive Uid list like this old one http://resources.esri.com/help/9.3/arcgisdesktop/com/shared/desktop/reference/ArcMapIds.htm ...updated for 10.x to contain the dockable windows. Has anybody come across such a list? Or is there another way to dig out this value, or a handle to that window? Thanks, George

At least, can anyone confirm that this feature, "Poll for updates" works correctly on a Feature Layer? Thanks, George

Hello, I am having a tough time with the "Poll for updates" option on a Feature Layer. I can see that it creates the following line <esriMapping:LayerExtensions.AutoUpdateInterval>30000</esriMapping:LayerExtensions.AutoUpdateInterval> inside Map.xml, but I observe no browser activity (I would expect a post back every 30 seconds with that). Am I missing something? Thanks, George Vernardos

Hello, would it be possible for you to give out a list of the planned improvements and new features of the forthcoming version? I am particularly interested in Editor Tracking, which apparently requires a user authentication mechanism for the service layers. Will this feature be supported? I see the Identity Manager in the Api v3.0, so I hope this will come as well. Will it be possible to pass user credentials with a token on an application's url, or are you just planning to incorporate a login tool? And, to make it a bit more complicated, how about services from different servers, requiring different credentials? Overall, I wonder if a developer will have a way to create his or her own login mechanism and decide on the fly which credentials are associated to each layer in an app based on the Viewer. Btw, is there a beta version planned for this release? Thanks, George

I've been having the same issue for quite a while now, just figured out a way to do it. It's ArcObjects (now I believe one can do anything with them...), apparently arcpy.mapping is not yet updated to support enabling Feature Access in PublishMSDToServer. public static void SetFeatureAccessOnMapService(string serverMachineName, string serviceName)
{
IAoInitialize aoInit = new AoInitializeClass();
aoInit.Initialize(esriLicenseProductCode.esriLicenseProductCodeArcServer);
IGISServerConnection2 pGISServerConnection = new GISServerConnectionClass();
pGISServerConnection.Connect(serverMachineName);
IServerObjectAdmin pServerObjectAdmin = pGISServerConnection.ServerObjectAdmin;
IServerObjectConfiguration4 pConfiguration4 = (IServerObjectConfiguration4)pServerObjectAdmin.GetConfiguration(serviceName, "MapServer");
pConfiguration4.set_ExtensionEnabled("FeatureServer", true);
IPropertySet info = pConfiguration4.get_ExtensionInfo("FeatureServer");
info.SetProperty("WebEnabled", "true");
info.SetProperty("WebCapabilities", "Query,Editing");
pServerObjectAdmin.UpdateConfiguration(pConfiguration4);
pServerObjectAdmin.StartConfiguration(serviceName, "MapServer");
} It was this thread that put me on the right track: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/23196-Publish-MXD-to-server-in-ArcObjects-C

We are trying to access a secure REST Layer with AGSQueryTask the token URL works fine from the browser and the server Certificate is signed from a third party authority. Our map service has "spatialReference" : { "wkid" : 2100 }, When we show the user location it is dislocated (~150 m) from the real location. Something in the conversion from Iphone WGS84 GPS DATA --> GREEK GRID ( 2100 ) is wrong. Here is a working projection that we use in our c# classes PROJCS["GGRS87 / Greek Grid",GEOGCS["GGRS87",DATUM["Greek_Geodetic_Reference_System_1987",SPHEROID["GRS 1980",6378137,298.257222101,AUTHORITY["EPSG","7019"]],TOWGS84[-199.87,74.79,246.62,0,0,0,0],AUTHORITY["EPSG","6121"]],PRIMEM["Greenwich",0,AUTHORITY["EPSG","8901"]],UNIT["degree",0.01745329251994328,AUTHORITY["EPSG","9122"]],AUTHORITY["EPSG","4121"]],PROJECTION["Transverse_Mercator"],PARAMETER["latitude_of_origin",0],PARAMETER["central_meridian",24],PARAMETER["scale_factor",0.9996],PARAMETER["false_easting",500000],PARAMETER["false_northing",0],UNIT["metre",1,AUTHORITY["EPSG","9001"]],AUTHORITY["EPSG","2100"]]

It is concievable that you can write your own custom layer that uses a local cache. You would be responsible for getting the cache on the device, and then implementing the logic to retrieve a particular tile taking into consideration the cache's tiling scheme. Doable, but can be tricky We haven't thoroughly exercised the workflow of creating custom tiled layers at this time. But you can try subclassing the AGSTiledLayer if you're feeling adventurous, . Here's how it would work (in theory) : Sub-classes must provide implementation for the spatialReference , fullEnvelope , initialEnvelope, and units properties declared by AGSLayer, and the tileInfo property declared by AGSTiledLayer. They must also provide implementation for the tileForLevel:row:column: and tileForLevelAsync:row:column: methods and notify the tileDelegate when appropriate. It is also the responsibility of sub-classes to update the loaded property and notify the delegate when appropriate. As i understand the AGSTiledMapServiceLayer gets all of the following info spatialReference fullEnvelope initialEnvelope units tileInfo from the mapserver using Json - > http://mydomain.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/myMap/MapServer?f=json&pretty=true ??? So if this is true than we can store a text file in the application resources, that containins the JSON. Loading the json from this file and populating all the initial fields should be easy . It would be very helpful if we can take a look at the implementation of AGSTiledMapServiceLayer class. ( .h and .m files ). Is this possible ?
