I want to know if it is possible to create a dynamic workspace and define a sqlite layer through SQL using the Javascript API dynamically in ArcGIS Server like I can with other supported Enterprise Geodatabase layers. If this is possible what is the workflow? In other when I create a service I can specify the dynamic workspace like in this document. ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2) How would this be done using sqlite data.

Two weeks ago I was at the AAG conference in LA. Jack and Bernie showed a web application as part of a talk that demonstrated using slider bars to modify map algebra parameters on an image service. Does anyone know where / if that demo is available and if it is available as a sample? Thanks

I have to update my ArcGIS license each year, and when I did so (ArcGIS server 10.1) all my services disappeared. I have 3 machines and only one is running ArcGIS 10.1 (the others run 10) and the 10.1 was the only one to have this problem. I can publish and create new services, but I would like to get my old services back. Since it is 10.1 I can't just republish all the geoprocessing tools without getting them all ran again. Is there a way for me to get them back at this point?

Ok, I narrowed it down a little by incrementally installing the dependency packages for ubuntu-desktop. If I install the xorg package rather then the complete ubuntu-desktop it works. It would be nice to narrow that down a little further within the subpackages of xorg if anyone has additional ideas.

I know Ubuntu Linux is not on the official list of supporting operating systems, but I have gotten it to work in serval cases and it does show up on the amazon cloud. However, I can only get it to work with the ubuntu-desktop package installed (regardless of having started from the desktop or server version of the os). The install and startup processes of ArcGIS server work regardless, but unless the ubuntu-desktop package is installed when I go to create a site I get this error after the site creation wizard: Failed to create the site. Failed to create the service "System/CachingTools.GPServer" Once I run apt-get install ubuntu-desktop, the wizard runs fine and creates the site (the site then works as expected). ubuntu-desktop installs a ton of other packages. Does anyone have any idea what package(s) arcgis is dependent on here so that I need not install the whole desktop system? Here is a list of packages that ubuntu desktop installs: http://packages.ubuntu.com/quantal/ubuntu-desktop PS. I have found that I needed to install xvfb before the service would even run, but that does not solve the site creation problem which must be dependent on one of these ubuntu-desktop packages.

I am trying to make a python toolbox in 10.1 and have a requirement to allow the user to select a number of input feature layers (number is arbitrary), and then choose one field from each selected input feature layer. I am trying to do this with a value table. The list of feature layers works just fine, but I can not figure out how to tell the toolbox to use the fields from the selected feature layer as the options in the second column. 1) I want to know if this is even possible, or if I need to solve the problem in a different way. 2) If there are any pointers or examples that anyone out there has on this I would appreciate them very much as the documentation discusses value tables, and discusses linking field input with a feature layer/class input via parameter dependancies, but not the combination of the two. Thanks.
