Hi I'm trying to use a URL link in a Field Maps feature pop-up to open a survey123 form and populate a few attributes. It's working fine when I test using the AGOL map to open the desktop verion of survey123, but doesn't work properly for one of the attributes when using the Field Maps app to open the Survey123 app on my IOS device. The attribute I'm having issues with has spaces and an '&' in the values and I know this is causing the issue, so I've tried URL encoding but can't get it to work...any help would be greatly appreciated. My basic URL (with the itemID replaced with 'xxx') is: arcgis-survey123://?itemID=xxx&field:FieldA={FieldA}&field:FieldB={FieldB} Field B is the one with the values causing me an issue - it has values like 'Egg & Chips' in it. When I try using the URL above I get the value 'Egg' in my Survey123 form - missing off anything from the first space. I've tried encoding it with the following: arcgis-survey123://?itemID=xxx&field%3AFieldA=%7BFieldA%7D%26field%3AFieldB=%7BFieldB%7D And I now get '{FieldB}' in my survey123 form rather than hte actual attribute value. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks! Graham

Hi I'm going through the process of updating / removing http references in my maps and apps, but have come across a series of apps where the web app template has references to a series of http MapServer layers which are no longer present in the map (and on a server which no longer exists), so cannot be removed - does anyone know how I can get rid of them so they won't cause a problem when we switch to https only? The references show as below in the web app template. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the reply James. GitHub is new to me but I'll give it a go - sounds like this might be my only option. Thanks again Graham

Hi Phil Thanks for replying. We were making a few changes to the survey arounds that time. Some additional fields were added to the survey form and it was republished, and I also installed a new version of Connect (from 3.1.xx to 3.3.51). I'm not sure about the version of the field app - the mobile devices are managed by the users so I'm not sure when they update the app versions. And we use AGO. However there were a number of surveys completed after these changes were made and I'm only having a problem with this one...is there anything else I can try to retrieve this data? Thanks again.

Hello I have an issue with a survey on an iPad that will not send. I've tried a few of the suggested fixes but no luck so far - any other suggestions appreciated. The survey itself is set up with repeats and select-multiples, and has the Inbox enabled - I think these have all been a potential source of problems in the past but the survey has been created/collected in a recent version of Survey123 so should be fine. Surveys collected before and after this one, using the same version of the survey form and following the same process, have all worked without a hitch. The survey data has been collected by two different people, so the records are sitting on two devices (they shared the survey using the Inbox). The same issue is affecting the data on both devices. Initially the 'parent' record uploaded fine, but none of the 'child' repeat records could be sent. I've since deleted the parent record from the Feature Class in ArcGIS Online and tried sending again, but now nothing is being sent. I've been able to copy the sqlite database to my desktop and open it on the desktop version of the app, but get the same error message when trying to send it (first image below). I've also tried opening the database using DB Browser for SQlite and checked the filepath but all looked OK (second image). I've seen an option to extract the data to a CSV but it looks like it needs GIitHub skills/access and I have neither! Is there anything obvious I'm doing wrong/missing, or anything else I can try? Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the reply Doug. I don't have access to Pro unfortunately so can't try that option, but I'll have a look at adding/using my own key fields. Thanks!

Hi All I have created a survey which is now being used to collect asset condition data - it's replacing an Excel survey form and has been well received. I'm now trying to append some historical survey data to the Survey123 Feature Class so that the users can see all survey data in the same place. However I'm struggling to append records to a Repeat table while maintaining the relationship with the parent record - any help in doing this appreciated. My workflow so far is: Copy data from the old Excel forms to two csv files (one for the parent record and one for the child 'repeat' data). These files have the same fields headers as in the new feature class Add lat/long info to the csv files Use the csv for the parent record to create an FGDB Feature Class in ArcMap (v10.2.1) Use the FGDB to append the parent records to the relevant layer in ArcGIS Online (I tried doing the append directly from the csv but for some reason didn't get the geometry in AGOL - not sure why) Take the globalid from the new features and copy them to the parentglobalid field in my child-record csv Append this to the child repeat table in ArcGIS Online I'm failing at point 6 - although the parentglobalid field name is correct in the csv it is not automatically mapped in the field mappings, and when I manually map it the append operation fails with an 'Error - Unable to append data' message. If I don't manually map the parentglobalid the append works but there is no relationship to the parent record. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Turns out this has been asked before, I just didn't find the relevant post until now! See below if you are interested... https://community.esri.com/thread/209162-can-you-have-multiple-constraintschoice-filters-on-an-external-select

Hi I'm building a survey where the user will be asked to select the address of the property they are currently at from a list of addresses taken from our corporate address register. The address list is over 1m records, so I'm going to store the addresses in an external csv and use pulldata to populate the select_one list (probably split by district in the final version). I'm wondering if there is a way of limiting the list of addresses the user is presented with based on the location of a geopoint question which will be populated earlier in the survey, so they only have to select from e.g. 20 addresses rather than the full list? I know you can pull the XY from the geopoint, and I could include the XY against each record in the csv file, but struggling to see how I can use the two together! Thanks! Graham

Hi I'm having problems getting a conditionally required setting to work with a select_one question. It's set up as below - when I 'validate' this in the desktop app it works as it should, but when I test on an iPhone the 'required' condition is ignored, and it allows me to save the survey with 'test1' = 'yes' but 'test2' is left blank. If I change 'test2' to a text question it works as it should on the phone - i.e. I'm not allowed to save the survey when 'test1' = 'yes' and 'test2' is blank. Is this a limitation with conditional requirements and select_one questions? Thanks

Update...so I've added a Mask and that does solve the problem - I don't really need to limit the field, but this gets round the problem of commas being added to a 'saved draft' in the app. Adam - if you've not done this before you basically just need to add something like "99999999" to the "body::esri::inputMask" field in the survey design spreadsheet. Thanks

Hi Phil Thanks for replying, but I still think there is a problem here along the lines described by Adam. I've set up a test survey with only an integer field - no masks/ constraints etc. When completing the survey you can type in an 8-digit int - e.g. 12345678 - and if you send immediately it is correctly stored in the feature service. However if you choose to Send Later, then re-open the survey to edit it (e.g. to add in more details at a different location) the integer field is in red and shows as 12,345,67 with the last value truncated and the commas meaning an 'Invalid Integer Warning' is generated. Is there a way around this? Thanks again Graham

Hi Phil Thanks for answering. Publisher seems quite a high role-level for exporting data when you can create and edit data at a lower role-level, but it has fixed my problem so I'll go with that. Thanks again! Graham

I'm finding that Survey123 users who are set up as 'Creator' user types with a 'User' role are not able to export the survey results from the data tab in Survey123 - they get a message saying 'you do not have access to this feature' - is this expected? I'm having to change the role for these users to 'Publisher' before they have the option to export. I'm pretty sure this hasn't always been the case but I might be wrong. Thanks
