hi there, I know we can test whether the title is true or not by running the gp service in catalog after connecting to the arcgis server. my question is is there any other way to do it? as someone has come across a problem that you can not extend the gp service in catalog n theres no cross mark in front of the gp service name. you can see the pic attached. the reason y im look for this is because im encountering a rest related problem, when i want to submit jobs to get the result(as i published the service as asynchronous) on the rest endpoint, it says Error performing execute operation n theres hardly useful logs created. so I want to make sure that not only the GP service has been published successfully, but also works well.

hi guys, I have a question here about how to enable longtitude n latitude coordinate search in web feature service, maybe the title fails to convey the meaning, let me explain a little bit. arcgis server converts geographic coordinate system to projected coordinate system when it is about to publish web service, instead of getting the x,y coordinates in projected coordinate system (which i havent figured out how to solve) in the published feature service, how do i get the coordinates in longtitude/latitude form? i got myself a solution which seems to be the most plain n silly yet hasnt been tested, maybe i could add longtitude/latitude coordinates when i am editting the feature class's attribute table in arcmap, i dont know how doable it is. any information is welcome, pls comment below. alison cheers

hi guys, I have a 3d building model with texture exported from arcgis engine, and it seems right with the texture in arcglobe before i publish it as a service. the weird thing is that after i publish it as a service via arcgis for server, the texture is still there if i open the service in explorer, but the texture is lost in arcglobe. so the question is that what should i do to keep the texture of the published 3d model after i publish the 3d model as service in server and then drag it back to arcglobe? hoping my question make sense to you guys and an answer soon.

hi all, I am currently trying to map the pedestrian based on 404 pairs of origins and destinations using network analysis. I succeeded in creating the routes with only one impedance which is the length of the road. I have road layer which is categorised into groups, such as "Arterial", "private"," city link". And I know "city link" would not be available for walking. since different types of road may have influence on people's decision about route between origin and destination, I have been thinking to assign different weight to different types. Q1. what's the systematic way to work out the weight Q2.I know we can assign the weight to road as a field in the attribute table, but how we can honour the weight as impedance in network analysis? hope questions are clear. Cheers, Alison
