Hi ... I'm trying to use the SymbolStyler class to allow a user to pick their own styles for a simple point layer. However, when I try and use this class I always end up with the styler saying "Unable to load symbols." Any ideas? I've included an image of the problem. I've put the code up as a fiddle. Edit fiddle - JSFiddle Anyone used this class successfully?

I'd like to be able to programatically create a feature service on ArcGIS Online using the iOS SDK. Ideally I'd be able to copy an empty "template" feature service to create a new one. I haven't been able to see how to do this with the iOS SDK. Is it possible? Is there another way to do it using the REST API directly rather than through the SDK? Thanks in advance for your help and ideas.

I see an answer has already been provided but I thought I'd share an easy way I use to restrict the number of scale levels displayed when using a tiled basemap. In the end it's the same idea of removing LODs but in a slightly simpler way. Here's the code ...
var basemapLayer = new esri.layers.ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer("http://.....yourmapservice.....);
dojo.connect(basemapLayer, "onLoad", function() {
map = new esri.Map("map", { lods : JSON.parse(JSON.stringify(basemapLayer.tileInfo.lods)).splice(4,12) });
map.addLayer(basemapLayer);
});
It first loads the basemap tiled layer and then when the layer has been loaded I use the basemapLayer.tileInfo.lods returned for the layer and use an array splice to extract the lods for (in this case) zoom levels 4 to 15. Once I've setup the map with those lods I can then add my basemap layer to the map. I find this a lot easier than including the LOD descriptions in the page.

Hi, Thank you for this information. I've been trying to subclass the AGSTiledLayer, but after adding it to the mapview, the tileForLevel:row:column: and tileForLevelAsync:row:column: methods are never called. Do you know if there is anything special to do in the init: method or anywhere else ? It seems I've implemented all the properties needed. Best regards, HI ... Just wondering if you ever manage to create your own custom tiled layer as per this thread? If so are you able to post the code. Thanks!
