Hi I would like to receive following Xml over REST in GeoEvent <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ez_data>
<fz title="First Test" id="abc55">
<updated timestamp="2016-02-12T22:59:59Z"/>
<pos x="52.30" y="-13.02"/>
<Statuslist>
<Assetstatus Status="NORMAL" type="A"/>
<Assetstatus Status="NORMAL" type="C"/>
<Assetstatus Status="NORMAL" type="C"/>
<Assetstatus Status="ABNORMAL" type="B"/>
<Assetstatus Status="ABNORMAL" type="C"/>
</Statuslist>
</fz>
</ez_data> I would like to generate a new field using a defined logic by looking at the values of status and type in the list e.g. if status="ABNORMAL" and type = "B", then new field= "MAJOR" Is this feasible using any processor in GeoEvent ?

Thanks for the suggestion using Spatial Analyst for deriving height from DSM and DTM. The reason for delineating the building footprints is to obtain the area for each floor of the the building.

Hi I have the following datasets for an area: 1. LIDAR DTM (Digital Terrain Model) 2. LIDAR DSM (Digital Surface Model) 3. Building footprints polygons I would like to calculate the following: 1. Maximum height of each building footprint (by subtracting DTM from DSM) 2. Area of each individual section of a footprint (by overlay the DSM over the building footprint and delineate the individual boundaries of a footprint based on the LIDAR classification) Any ideas whether 1) and 2) can be done using ArcGIS or any of its extensions (3D or Spatial Analyst)? Thanks

Hi I am using ArcGIS 10.2 .net SDK to create an Arcmap Addin. I am trying to print pagelayout using PrintAndExport The pagelayout margin in the printout is not centered on the page, i.e. there is a large blank space on the page. Any suggestions? Are there other alternatives to using PrintAndExport?

Hi all I am using ArcGIS 10.2 and creating an Arcmap addin dockable window The UI is a user control containing a number of .net controls. (see code below) based on Geospatial Scott: How To Get an ArcGIS Add-in Dockable Window This works. However I would like to further do the following 1. Prevent user from resizing the user control 2. Make the user control always floating, and not dockable Is the above feasible? User control code: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.ComponentModel; using System.Drawing; using System.Data; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Windows.Forms; namespace ArcGIS_Addins { public partial class ucSearchAddress : UserControl { public ucSearchAddress(object hook) { InitializeComponent(); this.Hook = hook; } /// <summary> /// Host object of the dockable window /// </summary> private object Hook { get; set; } /// <summary> /// Implementation class of the dockable window add-in. It is responsible for /// creating and disposing the user interface class of the dockable window. /// </summary> public class AddinImpl : ESRI.ArcGIS.Desktop.AddIns.DockableWindow { private ucSearchAddress m_windowUI; public AddinImpl() { } protected override IntPtr OnCreateChild() { m_windowUI = new ucSearchAddress(this.Hook); return m_windowUI.Handle; } protected override void Dispose(bool disposing) { if (m_windowUI != null) m_windowUI.Dispose(disposing); base.Dispose(disposing); } } } }

Hi all, I need to synchronize an SDE database (ArcSDE 10.2) on my server with a file geodatabase on a client server on a daily basis. My simplistic design is as follows: 1. create a replica locally on my server using python or arcobjects 2. Copy the replica to the client server using FTP. 3. Import data from replica to file geodatabase on client server using python or arcobjects Has anyone got experience implementing similar design. Any problems encountered. O are there other options I could explore for disconnected replication? Many Thanks

I am currently using ArcGIS Mobile 10.2 I am creating few custom user controls similar to the Measure tool, however I can't quite get the correct styles used for the Measure tool. Can anyone point me to where I can get the styles used in the ArcGIS Mobile 10.2 which I can use for building custom usercontrols? Thanks

ArcGIS Silverlight API ArcGIS Server 10 Visual Studio 2010 I have a web app built using ArcGIS Silverlight API that allows users to create simple simple point and line features. When saving the edits, the code is jumping to fLayer_SaveEditsFailed and throws an error message. This happens randomly. See code below. Most of the times the edits are saved successfully. There is no errors in ArcGIS Server log. Also running Fiddler to debug on the user's machine is not currently an easy option as the system currently in live. Any ideas? if (fLayer.HasEdits) { intHasEditsCount++; fLayer.BeginSaveEdits += new EventHandler<BeginEditEventArgs>(fLayer_BeginSaveEdits); fLayer.EndSaveEdits += new EventHandler<EndEditEventArgs>(fLayer_EndSaveEdits); fLayer.SaveEditsFailed += new EventHandler<TaskFailedEventArgs>(fLayer_SaveEditsFailed); fLayer.SaveEdits(); } private void fLayer_SaveEditsFailed(object sender, TaskFailedEventArgs args) { log.LogError("Failed to save edits. " + args.Error.Message); log.LogError("Stack Trace:" + args.Error.StackTrace); } Failed to save edits. Hi, I am new to ArcGIS mobile. I have followed online guide to try deploy a simple mobile app in Windows Classic emulator The steps I followed are: 1. Install Visual Studio 2008 and SP1 2. Install Microsoft Compact Framework 3.5 3. Install ArcGIS Mobile 3.1 4. Publish ArcGIS Server map service and enable Mobile Data Access 5. Create Smart Device Project and add Map Control 6. Copy ArcGISMobile.CAB to Mobile Device and install on Windows Mobile 6 Classic Emulator 7. In Visual Studio Connect Windows Mobile 6 Classic Emulator and Craddle When I run app, It then comes up with error "Missing ArcGIS registry key" on this line: mobileServiceConnection1.CreateCache(mobileCache1); In form load I have mobileCache1.StoragePath = Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Personal) + @"\MapCache"; if (!mobileCache1.IsValid) { MessageBox.Show("Map cache is invalid!"); return; } if (mobileCache1.IsEmpty) { try { mobileServiceConnection1.Url = @"http://myserver/ArcGIS/rest/services/BusinessData/MobileServer"; mobileServiceConnection1.WebClientProtocolType = WebClientProtocolType.BinaryWebService; MobileCacheSyncAgent mobileSync = new MobileCacheSyncAgent(mobileCache1, mobileServiceConnection1); mobileServiceConnection1.CreateCache(mobileCache1); MobileCacheSyncResults mobileResults = new MobileCacheSyncResults(); //get the schema to determine list of layers mobileServiceConnection1.CreateCache(mobileCache1); mobileCache1.StoragePath = Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Personal) + @"\MapCache"; if (!mobileCache1.IsValid) { MessageBox.Show("Map Cache is not valid!"); return; } //mobileCache1.Open(); //mobileSync.Synchronize(); map1.MapLayers.Add(mobileCache1);

All my datasets are currently in British National Grid. I have received a new dataset with Longitude and Latitude. I would like to query this layer and display the points on a graphics layer. However the points appear in the wrong location on the map. for each (var graphic:Graphic in featureSet.features) { graphic.geometry.spatialReference = map.spatialReference graphicsLayer.add(graphic); } Any ideas?
